Piñon Grill — Restaurant in Scottsdale

I have gone to MANY restaurants where I really enjoyed the food. However, I have never taken my time to leave a review on any of them. BUT, this place totally deserves the time for me to write about! A week after I purchased the GROUPON, I went on Yelp to check the reviews of this place and I almost cried! jaja. All of the reviews were horrible!! So, as I drive to the place I was very skeptical about it and scared because I went on an anniversary date.

BUT, as soon as you walk in, you enter the hotel lobby (Which has a very nice appearance!) then you walk into the Pinon Grill. The hostess Alex was very polite. The view was AWSEOME!, Very chill, relaxing. Through out the night I had about 4 different people who checked on me to see how everything was going. I haven't even talked about the food OMG!!

I ordered the "Chicken Nachos" (I forgot what the actual name was, but HOLLY C@%! they were SOOOO good and it was a BIG serving! I almost got full just from that but it was totally worth it!

All the plates are Ala Carte (or how ever you spell it) thus, the rations might seem small, but I ordered the Whiskey BBQ Salmon but added an order of asparagus and mashed potatoes (28 bucks total. Not bad!) My lady got the Red chilly Chicken. omg so good too! And we got an order fo fried rice. THE BEST FRIED RICE ive ever had! and a glass of wine. total bill was about 74 dollars. TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!!!

Went there for my twins 18th birthday and found out they changed their menu. We I asked the waiter if the chef was the same, and he assured us that only the menu had changed, but the rib eye was still the same. We we're all looking forward to enjoying their rib eye steak, that you can actually cut with a butter knife. UnfiUnfortunate, the steak we received was not up to par than we had in the past few times we've gone there. The steaks we received we're a little charred, not seasoned, fatty and over cooked. We requested medium rare or rare and received medium. We also waited longer than necessary for the food to be served, considering it wasn't crowded at all on a Tuesday evening. Our first visit and we will not be returning due to the horrible, rude service we recieved. I'm not sure if he was upset he was working labor day, but he definitely took it out on the customers. Didn't get his name but he was an older, taller gentleman. From the very beginning he seemed to be in a mood slamming glasses down and as soon as we started talking he would walk away mid sentence. We said please and thank you thoughout and he completely ignored us. Burger came out undercooked which is no problem, but didnt even acknowledge it and just walked away annoyed with the plate.
