Was really excited to eat here. I really love Italian food. We were visiting Scottsdale and just finished church and my cousin and I wanted to treat our mothers out for dinner for Mother's day. As we are from Gilbert and visiting, it was our first time so we didn't know they had reservation or else we would have made some beforehand. We walked in, we're told to wait 45 minutes for the next spot and we said that was okay, walked around and came back at 7:15pm which was the promised time (they never called or texted us at the promised time by the way). Not sure if they were racist because we were Asian (seemed like a predominantly white establishment) or if they just had really bad service. But we waited from 715pm to 8pm without a single waiter coming to tell us they will be right with us or to take our orders. We even asks them and they said they will track down our waiter but then the person we asked and said would track down our waiter came back 5 min later and cleaned the table next to us without addressing us and looked at us and mockingly smirked. The whole time nobody came to tell us they were sorry for the wait or they will be right with us. They just gave us waters and ignored us basically. (They even served the people who came 30 minutes after we sat down first) Even when we told them we were waiting so long they didn't seem to care and almost acted like it was our fault for being a walk-in even though they told us we could come back at the promised time to serve us. When we left, I even heard the receptionist complain as if it was our fault for being a walk-in. Like if you're gonna be like that just say it's reservation only and turn us away so we don't have to waste our time. Long story short might be a racist establishment but at the very least terrible service. Ruined our mothers...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Pubblico, and I must say, it was an extraordinary Italian culinary experience. From the moment I stepped through the doors, the restaurant's inviting ambiance and warm Italian charm set the stage for an unforgettable evening.
The menu at Pubblico is a testament to the art of Italian cuisine, with a wide array of options that cater to all tastes. The selection of antipasti is a delightful journey through flavors and textures. I couldn't resist the burrata, which was incredibly creamy and paired beautifully with fresh tomatoes and basil.
For the main course, I had the classic lasagna, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The layers of pasta, rich meat sauce, and perfectly melted cheese made for a comforting and indulgent dish. The attention to detail in every bite was evident.
The wine list was extensive, offering an impressive selection of Italian wines that complemented the meal perfectly. The attentive and knowledgeable staff were more than happy to help me choose the ideal wine to enhance my dining experience.
Pubblico's desserts were the perfect ending to this culinary journey. The tiramisu was a heavenly combination of mascarpone and espresso-soaked ladyfingers, leaving a lingering sweetness on my palate.
In addition to the exquisite food, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive and genuinely passionate about ensuring guests had a memorable time.
Overall, Pubblico is a hidden gem for Italian cuisine. It's a place where tradition and innovation come together to create a dining experience that will transport you to the heart of Italy. If you're looking for an authentic and exceptional Italian meal, Pubblico is the place to go....
Read moreMy family and I were in the area yesterday and decided to stop by for lunch. It’s rare to find a restaurant with an A health score and no violations, and the yelp photos looked great, so we were excited to try it out. Our server greeted us at the door and was very attentive to us the entire time. He accommodated with a high chair for our toddler and brought water to the table right away. We were one of the first groups to arrive and had the outdoor patio all to ourselves, which was beautiful. The bathrooms were also easily accessible, clean, and nicely decorated.
We were hesitant based on a few of the reviews stating the food was overhyped and underwhelming, but we have relatively high standards when it comes to food and can confirm this place is amazing. We ordered the calamari first, which was perfectly crispy with a delicious sauce. The seafood pasta was amazing and fresh with tons of meat. Other dishes we ordered were the chicken cutlet panini with fries, grilled octopus, caesar salad, and margarita pizza, and everything was great.
Overall, this place is a 10/10 for ambience, service, and food quality. We will definitely be visiting again soon whenever we’re...
