I never write reviews. Iām furiously writing this one. Terrible customer service, terrible experience. Unfortunately I chose this place and convinced my husband to go and we had our three year old with us. We had 6:15 reservations. It was not busy. We ordered pretty quickly appetizers, soup and our entrees. About 20 minutes later my soup came (which I was sharing with my toddler so that was good) and thatās all that came out. No appetizer, no soup for my husband. My toddler and I were eating sizzling rice soup which was okay at best. Finally the satay came out which was typical and good. It didnāt take us long to observe the other patrons who were clearly waiting LONG periods of time for their food. The couple next to us almost left because it took 20 minutes just to get their beer. Well, my husbands soup still didnāt come, an hour and 5 minutes later. My toddler and I were done eating. I cancelled my entree because I was so mad I wasnāt hungry anymore. My toddler was done too. Finally my husbands soup came and we were done eating. The excuse our waitress told us was they were slammed with to go orders. Not acceptable. Restaurant patrons should come first. Well, my husband didnāt even like his soup. It was Tom Kha spicy and tasted like Progresso tomato basil soup with chicken and mushroom. He sent it back. I complained to the waitress and the owner/manager? was there and they never said a word. No comped food. No one came by to tell us sorry for the insanely long wait. Nothing. We paid $60 for mediocre sizzling rice soup, chicken satay and fried rice which my husband took home be a we packed up and ready to go when that came. He was so mad he didnāt even eat it when we got home. I was still hungry so I had some peanut butter. Donāt waste your tome or money. The food is not good enough and the service is embarrassingly atrocious. And no one cared. Thatās...
Ā Ā Ā Read more1st of all, if I could give 0 stars, I would. This is my 2nd time coming here because I believe in 2nd chances. But unfortunately it will be my last time I set foot in this place. Found out this place is really not Tottie's. Tottie's has sold this place, but the new owners kept her name, which is a shame. Sadly, Tottie retired because the real Tottie's was on Thomas Rd in Old Town. The real Tottie's gave excellent service, and the food was much better. The same waitress (older lady) there is basically annoyed when you request anything from her. Let me give you an example.. when you sit down at their tables, the only items you will find are utensils wrapped in a paper towel.. that's it. God forbid you need extra napkins condiments or soy sauce because you have to wait a while for her in order to get them for you . I don't understand why they can't just keep those items on the table. Unfortunately my husband and I only had the napkin that was already wrapped on the utensils, so we requested extra napkins, & she brings one napkin which was dirty on the other side, my husband got up to requested extra napkins again and she brings 2 napkins. Are they experiencing any shortages on napkins? I have no idea. Are we supposed to blow our noses and wipe our hands and mouth with the same napkin? I don't understand what the problem is with extra napkins. My husband had to get up a few times to request our needed items. The same waitress would just take off to the bar instead of taking care of her customers. She's been behind the bar most of the time we were having dinner. And to top it off, I've never been to an Asian restaurant where they do not give you fortune cookies. I guess there's a shortage on those as...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time, excited to try a new place in town. Two adults and four kids. Ordered 5 entrees to share. I asked for silverware 3 times after food had arrived. I asked for lemons for the table and received ONE lemon wedge. I asked for more lemon wedges for the table and received a little cup of lemon juice. Forgot to mention the Cokeās had little to no ice, therefor I just asked for a cup full of ice to not be a pain. I received HALF a cup of ice.
Kung Pao was supposed to be a five out of seven spicy, however it had no flavor at all. The noodle dish had no noodles basically! That was the dish the kids where looking forward to. I had never seen a noodle dish with almost no noodles! As I bit into an orange chicken I pulled a hair out my mouth and that was it for me.
We where also charged almost $30 mandatory fee tip since it was a party of 5 and up. Very weird vibes they kept looking at us concerned as if we wouldnāt pay the bill. Please donāt be greedy with ice or lemons. Especially for the amount of food we ordered.
Almost $200 later. Give me excellent service or excellent food. sadly it was not a good day. We will go elsewhere. We donāt mind paying for good food with good service, but it was quite the opposite.
I have never written a bad review but I hope that by seeing this one they will improve their...
