Food was good. Fun games. Unfortunately there was one bartender who had a vendetta against our group the moment we walked in. We had a member of our group accidentally and unknowingly break a rule, and we were told how personally offended the bartender was that we broke a small harmless little rule (not the mask). It would have been one thing to tell us about what we were doing wrong, but instead we were belittled and scoffed at by this bartender within minutes of entering this establishment. Overall fun bar but one employee ruined it. Would not come back. Edit 11/24 in response to reply from owner. I must respond to this pathetic attempt to resolve your image to the public. I'm not sure how you could have further lowered my opinion of your establishment, but bravo, you did. While you may considered it common knowledge, every member of our group lives in a completely different area of the country, and one was international. It's a big world outside Scranton, and rules are different everywhere. Further, the one who had an open container was 21 years old and honest to god, did NOT know as she does not often drink. Your staff member did NOT "kindly" state that outside alcohol was not permitted, as he took extra effort to belittle our intelligence, and spent more time talking about how offended he was, rather than just explaining what we could do to rectify the situation. We offered countless times that we were willing to just trow the container out, but the bartender instead went on and on about the rule we were breaking. Over and over again you told us to throw it out or leave. We kept telling you over and over again we will throw it out. We were waiting for you to show us a garbage can or for you to take the drink. After the 5th or so attempt to tell you we WILL throw out the container, the bartender finally accepted. We only mentioned going outside to drink the container because you were refusing to allow us to throw it out. You kept standing there looking at us like idiots, after telling you we would like to throw it out. We were waiting for you to throw it out. There was no kindness from that bartender, just belittlement. Your reply should have read: We are sorry our customer service satisfaction let you down, we will work extra hard to earn your trust back in the future. To the public, this owners reply should serve as a...
Read moreFriend brought me here because of good food, an arcade with alot of classic games of our generation (X), and craft beers. Or so I thought. The greeter seemed distracted and asked if we wanted a table or bar seating. We chose the bar figuring we could just order and eat there just as easily. Bar tender needed my card in his "care" for a running tab which unsettled me. After we decided on what to eat, the bartender just flat out ignored us twice. After catching the greeter and insisting on a table, the bartender had me pay for the two ales we got. Wow. I could have gotten a 6-pack of Weyerbacher Insanity (13.3% ABV Brandywine) for what I paid for 2 ales. I sure as hell didn't tip him either. Not to mention he seemed "aloof" and in his own world. Not sure if it was his first day or he was high. Difficult to read. After confronting the greeter (another winner with their head in the clouds), we finally got a table and a coherent waitress. The menu was also very limited and the choices were also pricey. The food was mediocre for me at least. Nothing new. Heather (waitress), was nice and understanding, brought our food quickly and asked us regularly if we needed anything and if the food was good. After paying the bill, my friend got us alot of quarters and we played some games. Better than half the games I played were in sad shape. Most of the older games were not maintained and the controls were sloppy or broken. The games that had 'guns' were badly in need of adjusting since the aiming was all over the place. Overall, if they hire more competent wait-staff (like Heather), expend their menu with alot more selections (not just "brunch". We got there about 6:30pm. Really? Brunch?!), make the prices more reasonable, and repair / maintain their arcade, this place would fare better in my eyes. The place is a novelty and a great idea, but there are many other places out there that have their act together with better food...
Read moreSharing this from an employee prospective! Been here for roughly 7 months.
-Coworkers are very friendly and accepting, mostly women at this moment. -Line cooks are always very cautious of people's dietary prefaces (regardless if a staff member places the order or a customer). -We've recently been doing more and more fun events for not only staff, but customers as well. -Rarely do we have a cover charge for major events! -Manager and Owner frequently check game machines to fix them on a daily basis. There isn't a shift that I don't see someone fixing a machine, especially pinball. -Wednesday we have Pinball League hosted by Electric City Pinball which is an amazing opportunity for people to get involved with people in the community. -Welcoming for the LGBTQ+ community! -Unique cocktails and holiday/theme related drinks are in rotation almost monthly, so you'll almost never have the same specialty drink. -Staple drinks such as the Electric Smurf, Princess Peach, Kong's Banana Horde, etc. are such a fun treat! -Schedule is insanely flexible and almost all staff members will come to your rescue if something arises. -Our regulars are insanely cool people! They live such cool lives! -Food always slaps, cooked fresh/made-to-order within 10 minutes. -Management isn't someone to fear, they're extremely chill people and understand that life is crazy. They always work around and fix the issue immediately. -We change our beer menu FREQUENTLY. Sometimes we change the menu within 24hrs depending on how much we have left in stock and it's always something fresh and new from local distributors. -You're never by yourself, there's always someone there to help you with whatever you need.
