These few stars are really for the food because it was good. Our server, I'm assuming Kelly (because that’s what the receipt says) but I wouldn’t know because she never gave an introduction anyway, was very short. No sign of good customer service, not even average. Soon as she walked to our table of 5, “what do you want for drinks?”. Our orders were taken and the person that gave us our food had a better attitude than her. I’m a person who has worked in F&B so lm very understanding of servers so I assumed she maybe had a rough day or was overwhelmed. I soon let that assumption go because I observed her having a grand time with other customers, laughing, smiling, engaged in conversations etc. she even interrupted our orders just to say bye to someone! Once it was time to pay, she set a long receipt down on the table without saying anything. She NEVER asked us how was the check going to be separated and when I FINALLY got the chance to flag her down to tell her we need it separated she said we should’ve said something but SHE NEVER GAVE US A CHANCE TO EVEN SPECIFY THAT THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE TIME WE WERE THERE. Again I get maybe the overwhelmed feeling of taking care of everyone, being busy, etc but she could’ve been nice and personable to us like she was to literally everyone...

Waitress pulled two round tables together, dropped a pile of menus and a handful of silverware wraps on the table, letting us set our own places, took drink orders and left for a moment. The one page menus were wrinkled and dirty. Ordered turkey reuben with fries. Rueben was more sauerkraut than anything...not much sliced deli turkey and a slice of cheese. Dill pickle was good. Fries were slightly warmed over and obviously not fresh. Ketchup bottle was filled to the brim as though newly opened but the waitress refilled it in front of us shortly before we left. Common practice but not usually done in front of the customer, who is supposed to think that it's a brand new bottle. Menu says a family business, but I wouldn't want my name on the place. Surprising because Bohicket Marina gets its main business from upscale Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. I...
Read moreI had the turkey reuben (love the spin from corned beef to turkey) which was phenomenal. My husband had the shrimp basket and he said it was really good. The atmosphere had the vibe of a small, hometown bar and was really enjoyable. Our waiter (bless his heart as we say in the South) was the only one waiting tables and everyone was very patient and kind to him. I even help bus a couple of tables for him so people could sit down. Reminded me of my college years. Anywho...I would highly recommend checking this place out. Friendly people. Good food. Great place to just go, hang out after a day of golfing and have a few drinks. If you're looking for a quick bite, I wouldn't suggest eating here because as some of the reviews state it took a long time to get whatever. This isn't FAST food. This is somewhere to go chill, have some drinks, chat it up with friends, and wait...
