This is my first one star review I have written, here’s why: We go in hoping to get some drinks and baked goods here. Two girls are working in the front. My 3 year old sees croissants and asks for a chocolate croissant, it’s his favorite. The girls tell us it’s not a chocolate one. I ask if they could maybe put some chocolate syrup on it. They say they don’t have any. In the meantime, they are seeing my little boy wishing for it repeatedly. I proceed to order two drinks and some pastries, I turn around to pay- and guess what I see, a huge container of chocolate syrup. Of course they have it, it’s a cafe! I point at it in surprise and say- girls, you have chocolate syrup! It’s right here! The one who seems to be the leader of the two turns to me and says, we can’t give you any because we don’t have a way of charging for it. I said I am willing to pay extra for it, you don’t have to give it to me for free, and she just declined. So of course I walked out of there. They lost on money (in harsh winter months) and a good amount of tip I was willingly to leave them for going above and beyond. This was our first time stepping in there, and definitely the last time. We’re locale. This is not how you treat customers. I’m sure the owners would not have behaved in such a way. I hope they read this and train their...
Read moreDefinitely overpriced and matching poor customer service too. I went in to grab a cup of joe for my wife and I, and the girl at the counter was rude, didn't listen to the order, seemed to be rushed to punch it into her iPad, and just generally lacking people skills. She asked my name to put on the order and she apparently didn't hear me so instead of a normal "I'm sorry, what was that?" or similar, it was "WHAT!?" loud enough for people outside to hear. She definitely has some maturing to do.
My wife's dairy-free coffee was going to be EIGHT DOLLARS for a MEDIUM cup. We've never paid that much at Dutch Bros, Starbucks, or anywhere else. I was floored! Needless to say, we skipped that cup and just got my coffee, a vanilla latte, which was lukewarm and lacking any flavor. It cost me $5.75... Convenient and cute location? Sure. Will we return? Nope.
UPDATE: So it appears the owner has responded to my review and say I exaggerated my price for coffee... After looking back at what my wife wanted, they would be correct, my wife's coffee would have been seven dollars, not eight... A medium vanilla chai latte: $4.00, non-dairy: +$1.00, two extra shots: +$1.50, vanilla flavor: +$.50 = $7.00. Still more than I've ever paid anywhere else. I apologize...

9.0 out of 10 ⭐️
Even in the coldest of weather, you can warm your heart, body, and soul at Beach Day Coffee! As you walk in, you are greeted with big smiles and a wonderful ambiance. The baristas are quick, knowledgeable, and super friendly. You can pick a table, sit at the long bar, or enjoy a perfectly roasted cup of coffee by the window (I always go Americano and black, as that’s the way to really tell the quality of the establishment’s coffee).
They have lots of hot and cold beverages and a good selection of cookies and yummy pastries (like their delicious in-house banana bread and cinnamon rolls generously slathered in icing).
I love how the music is always upbeat and the lighting is just right.
So, if you find yourself wandering around Broadway in Seaside, Oregon, check them out! You won’t be disappointed.
