We are 2 adults and 2 pre-teens and we stayed at Worldmark Seaside the end of July 2024 in a 2 bedroom unit, 3rd floor room 3332. Pros: *Friendly customer service and easy check-in! They were not high pressure on sales when we checked in (this was one of my biggest concerns based on other reviews). They gave us information and invited us to attend an informational session, but we declined and they didn’t go further. They did call a few times to check if we wanted more info, but we just declined and hung up and that was fine. *Beautiful pool area. Pool a little chilly, but I loved the big hot tubs. It is busy and that is to be expected. *I loved that they gave us bracelets as our key card. It was so much easier for us and our kids to manage. We also got discounts on our many gelato stops during our week! *The beds were extremely comfortable and I’m usually picky about that. Plenty of pillows too! *Basic stocked kitchen. Enough for our needs. Included detergent for laundry too. *The location can’t be beat. It is right on the beach and such a great area to be able to walk to shops and restaurants. *Parking was a pleasant surprise. We were on the 3rd floor and the parking on the 3rd floor allowed us to enter on our floor without taking the elevator. They were also great about giving passes for parking for our guests. Plenty of luggage racks for use! *It was busy, but elevators were efficient and worked well.
Cons: *No A/C and windows barely open. They are hopper-style windows and you can’t put a fan in the window or anything. No screens on windows or patio door, but bugs weren’t much of an issue. However, the noise on the outer Southern facing units (We were in 3332) was okay in the evening, but EVERY SINGLE MORNING there was a loud garbage truck or sweeper with the back-up beeping noise starting at 6am. It was too hot for us to keep our windows closed. It was frustrating. I would request an inner-U window ahead of time. *The campfire smoke will infiltrate every item you own. It is the summer at Seaside, so the beaches are busy and if the air quality isn’t great then the campfire smoke gets just so thick. This was an issue since we had to keep our windows and door open or it would get too hot. This probably wouldn’t be an issue at cooler and less busy times of the year. The unit was just filled with campfire smell. *The game room they have was HOT and stuffy. No A/C in there either. Air hockey no longer there. They have Ping pong, shuffleboard and a couple video games. *The unit refrigerator must have been previously used to hold crab. Although it looked clean, the smell was really awful when opening the fridge. I did not notify the management because I didn’t think that there was anything they could do and it was late on our first night. I bought some baking soda and tried to deodorize it which helped a bit. *The unit was nicely furnished, but it is in need of updates. The blinds still have the very long cords on them which I am surprised have not been replaced. Be careful with young kids. *Toilets are short and loud, some kitchen tiles are cracked (wear and tear), there is a little damage and wear/tear all around, but that sort of thing didn’t bother me. It is as nice or nicer than most moderate hotels I’ve visited. Even high-end ones show wear after awhile. *Wi-fi isn’t great and they require you to pay. It is $25 for 5 devices for 10 days.
Summary: I’m glad we tried out the Seaside Worldmark, especially since we got a great deal from an owner renting out their week. We had a great time and honestly I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and hotel overall.
I doubt I would stay again though due to no A/C and the issues that came from having to keep windows and doors open. That was just a deal breaker...

Budget approximately $16-24 for internet if you need to use it while you stay here. When we stayed there, the internet pricing was as follows: You have a choice of 2, 5, or 8 devices. This is the number of devices that are using the internet at the same time. We had two phones and three computers, but we chose “2” devices, and we did not have any issues switching among the different devices. Your choice for duration is 1 day, 10 days, or a full year. 2 devices for 1 day is $4.95, $15.95 for 10 days, or $49.95 for a year. 5 devices - $7.95 for 1 day, $23.95 for 10 days, or $99.95 for a year. 8 devices - $10.95 for 1 day, $31.95 for 10 days, or $149.95 for a year.
For the studio, the only bed is a Murphy bed on the same wall as the television, so the only way to watch tv while in bed is in the mirror.
Parking is free and located in a garage on floors that can only be accessed with your room key. I’m not sure you actually need a parking pass, given that you tell them the make and model of your vehicle and the license plate number, and you have to use your room key to access the designated hotel parking floors in the parking garage. I also did not see any security patrolling the parking garage or checking for parking passes. Still, you have to go to the marketing kiosk to get one. There, they will ask you for a $40 deposit to attend a timeshare sales pitch, and they are under A LOT of pressure to get sign-ups and as a result are very pushy and persistent, so just be prepared for that.
The location is GREAT! on the beach and right next to everything in the town center. The beach-side doors of the hotel exit onto the promenade, which is a paved walkway that stretches along the beach to either side of the hotel and is just lovely, especially if you do not want to or are not able to walk on sand.
The building is shaped like a “U,” with the top of the “U” facing the beach. In the inner part of the “U” shape is the registration office and heated outdoor pool. The one-bedroom units are located on that back wall that makes up the bottom part of the “U” shape, and the first two floors have a view of the registration office. So if you are booking a one-bedroom and want a view of the ocean, I suggest selecting a “deluxe” room. The two-bedroom units run along the arms of the “U,” the three-bedroom units are located at the end of the arms of the “U” (these are the only units on the beach), and the studios are at the bottom corners of the “U.” (Our timeshare sales presenter called the studios “the armpits” as he held his arms straight out in front of him to describe the shape of the hotel and where the different sized units were located.)
In addition to being on the promenade, the location of this hotel is conveniently located in the center of all the fun beach-towny things to do in Seaside. There are cute shops, good coffee, and fun activities. There is a Safeway grocery store half a mile away, outlet stores about a mile away, and Costco and Walmart and more shopping in Warrenton, OR, which is about twenty minutes north. Great hikes, recreation areas, Cannon Beach, and Astoria are all within easy driving distance of Seaside.
I would give it 5/5 if the rooms had been cleaner, if the wifi had been free, and if the timeshare marketing people had not been so pushy...
Read moreSo we were on vacation on the Oregon Coast in Seaside. We were stopped by a guy on the turnaround in front of Workdmark who said "hey come in and take a tour, it will only take a few minutes" and receive "1 overnight visit no cost" Few minutes? Cool. The dude from outside walks us into the lobby to the counter. Basically turns us on to somebody else to talk to. The guy behind the counter starts talking and says oh I'll need to call and see if you're in our area of service to receive one night for free. So we stay there as he does his paperwork he says he needs her ID to verify our age. So we did give him both of ours to prove that we are middle-aged. The guy gets off the phone and says good news. You qualify for the overnight stay. He asked for phone number which we gave him, then pass his paperwork over-the-counter to sign . before signing, I'm reading the paperwork and it states that it's a two hour tour of the building and what they offer. I am like wait a second the guy outside that said it'd be a few minutes and that's all we needed to do. That's why we came inside. We're on vacation. We're not gonna spend two hours of our vacation time in this building listening to us spiel couple minutes to walk-through and take a look at it. Sure like the guy said outside we would do that but two hours now that we've been standing here for 20 minutes while you're verifying your address. Heckno. I looked at my husband, I said we're out of here because on vacation and we've already been here 20 minutes. My husband tells the guy to shred the paperwork. As soon as my husband says that the guy says, wait I can give you another free night which would equal two free nights if we just take the tour. Heckno My husband tells the guy to shred the paperwork. The guy says he will. we told them we wanted no more information from them about them phone calling or mailings, etc.. The guy acknowledged him and said that would be fine. Now it's nonstop mailings. Phone calls. Today he received another flyer he called the number to be taken off the list and they are asking for our Social Security number we never gave them our Social Security number, they need our Social Security number to be taken off the mailing list. I called Worldmark in Seaside directly. The receptionist at the counter said there was no way he could do that. Take us off the mailing list or call list. He said he knew the only way to be removed from the mailing and called. This is to provide a California address. We live in Washington not California. How can I provide a California address? Asked him how that would be done since I live in Washington. He told me to create a California address he would be able to remove us from their solicitation. That would be fraudulent as we do not have a California address, which I stated to him. He suggested we commit fraud and this whole organization is shady, dishonest corporation. I would not want to be associated with anything that this entity has to offer buyer beware seriously run for...
