My husband and I were pleased with the friendliness of all the staff we encountered, from the young man who checked us in to the young lady who checked us out 5 days later and the housekeeping and maintenance workers in between. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. When we had an issue with the toilet, maintenance was very prompt about making the repair and the young man was very friendly. The reasons for 4-stars and not 5-stars are primarily for the following: I have mobility problems and we stayed in a handicapped room, not only were there not enough parking spots for the number of rooms, but there was only ONE handicapped parking space. I don't know how many handicapped rooms they rent, but there either needs to be more handicapped parking or there needs to be parking dedicated to specific handicapped accessible rooms. Of the four nights that we stayed, there was only one night we were able to park in the handicapped parking and one night we parked in the actual parking lot. The other two nights we had to park off site. Second, the breakfast had a good selection, oatmeal, cereal, breakfast sandwiches, a pancake machine, fresh fruit, fruit juices, with milk, yogurt, boiled eggs and coffee however, the morning my husband selected cold cereal for breakfast, he ending up pouring curdled milk onto his cereal and the next morning the breakfast sandwich he got looked and tasted like it had been reheated multiple times. Perhaps the breakfast sandwiches should be available to be heated as they are selected by guests so they are heated fresh and not sitting and drying out or reheated the next morning if not eaten on the first date. Finally, the pool was very nice, a little cooler than my liking, but the towels were nice and big and soft, the hot tub was nice. A warning when selecting the handicapped room, Room 100, is right near the pool and between the hours of 8:00 am and 10:00 pm the door frequently slams as kids run in and out and yelling and screaming can be heard from the pool room. Thankfully once the pool closed at night things quieted down. If we had known the proximity of this room to the pool we would had made sure to request a different room. I'm just thankful my mother didn't join us as originally planned as she isn't near as laid back as us. Finally, there is no air conditioning, which the first week in October isn't a big deal, but the room became stuffy due to the fireplace pilot light and the patio sliding door did not have a screen, we didn't experience a problem with flies or mosquitos, but wonder if this is a possible issue in the summer. The room had a great floor fan. The hotel is pet friendly, and there are no signs directing hotel guests to "potty areas" so the smell of dog urine was strong in some walkways. Overall, we would consider staying again, but we would want a different room. We wanted a room with an ocean view and the "partial view" provided a nice view the sand dunes behind the promenade, no water...
Read moreThis was the first time my wife and I have stayed at the Ebb Tide Oceanfront Inn. We stayed a total of three nights in room 129, Wednesday Thursday and Friday. I made the reservations with the Hotels.com app, which was a breeze to do. When I checked in I was met by a very sweet young lady named Erin. She checked me in quickly and was very professional and knowledgeable about the property and it's offerings. The room was clean and the king bed was very comfortable and the nights were quiet. The room was a little out dated but, being clean and comfortable was what I was looking for. There were fresh baked cookies in the lobby at 6pm every evening. The hot breakfast was really good over the three days we were there with lots of choices like scrambled eggs, small egg omelets with bell peppers, steamed potato's, bacon strips, sausage links and pancakes. Cold items like cereal with three or four brands to choose from, yogurt, bagels and cream cheese, fresh fruits and juices. This is were I will be booking a room when I'm in Seaside. Thank You Ebb Tide Oceanfront Inn for making an enjoyable stay!!
Review #2 This was our second visit to Ebb Tide Oceanfront Inn and same room #129. My wife and I stayed just one night this time around. I made the reservations with the Hotels.com app again, which was a breeze to do. When I checked in I was met by a sweet young lady named Angela. She checked me in quickly and was very professional and knowledgeable about the property and it's offerings. Everyone was very nice and makes you feel appreciated. Our room was cleaned and prepared by Angerica, and the room smelled clean and fresh and was immaculate. This lady knows how to clean a room. (kudos to her) The king bed was very comfortable and the nights were quiet. Our daughter has two stores in Cannon Beach ( Antler & Alder and Saltbox Supply Company) both on Hemlock St and, beside each other. I help her with different projects from time to time and this is where we like to stay when we come to the beach to work and play. Thank You Again Ebb Tide...
Read moreI was there to celebrate our 14 year anniversary had a king size room with a jacuzzi paid for in advance we called a few days earlier to see if we can do a earlier check on a guy that answered said yes to cali between 12and 2 so we called and was told to pickup a parking voucher at 12 pm we had drove from Seattle that is 3 plus hours we went to check at 3 nothing yet the told check in was 4 to 6 but we seen people getting check in at 3 so I was confused 4 o'clock came nothing I was since my room was big, it was not gonna be done to the very end, which was confusing. You would think something with a jacuzzi would be drained and clean before most rooms, since it takes the longest. Plus we was there waiting around killing time, but the lady seemed like she wasn't concerned about getting the room done. So I got a little upset, she said that I look intimidating, and she was not going to get the room done until 6, even though we were there. Since 12. Instead of sure me that she's gonna have someone start working on it, or it's given us an exact time. She decided to refund the money. Mind me It was a weekend. They did volleyball championship, so all the links were booked in town. So we had to end up driving all the way back home to Seattle. Yes, I was a little upset who wouldn't be on the anniversary. That's all planned out with other stuff to do. I would not ever suggest them. I'm coming back to this place because we were kicked out of there and told to not to come back. I think it was more a let's racial discrimination if i could of gave a 0 star i would of Angela was the lady name she started arguing with me while helping another customer on the second time trimester to check on my room she needs to be more professional that's why the have a 3.2 yelp review i should of checked the...
