Seaside Beach Oregon — Attraction in Seaside

Wonderfully wide beach with life guard and a promenade/sea wall at its edge perfect for a stroll or run. Promenade runs 2.5 miles. The beach runs four an additional 2 miles. Great for clamming or sand dollar hunting at low tide.

Seaside has lots of attractions, and restaurants - including Sam's Seaside cafe, Candyman, Mo's, Pig'n Pancake, Seaside Aquarium, and Carousel Mall. Lots of interesting shops and attractions on and just off Broadway and the Prom.

Lots of great places to stay from hotels like the Shilo Inn and the Resort at Seaside to full beach houses for rent from Seaside Vacation Homes and others. A great place for young couples, families with kids, friends gatherings and senior couples alike.

A great starting place for your jump off to adventure be it Lewis and Clark sites, WWII forts, Astoria history, or the natural beauty of Haystack Rock and Ecola Park and their hiking trails. In the quaint coastal town of Seaside, Oregon is a gorgeous beach. All ages can explore and enjoy the natural area. It is perfect for collecting a variety of shells, driftwood, and other curious things that wash ashore. Walks along the shore are peaceful and renewing. There are visitors enjoying picnics, playing frisbee, and other fun activities. The trail is long but flat. There are restrooms available. If you go in the peak summer months you may want to arrive early for a parking spot. You are a short distance to Seaside's wonderful locally owned stores and delicious eateries. There is also an aquarium nearby so you can learn about the wildlife and marine life local to the area. The water does stay cold most of the year but don't let that keep you from visiting year round for the beautiful view and benefits of breathing salty air. It’s not the most scenic of beaches like with Canon or Indian which is basically the reason I only gave 3 stars. The beach is huge in width and length. You also won’t find any tide pools here either. They do allow beach fires which is nice at night but unfortunately because most people can’t or more simply put won’t clean up after themselves it just leaves the beach littered with fire pits and charred remains everywhere. It is a great beach for finding intact sand dollars, crabs carcasses and jelly fish washed ashore but not so great for finding pretty shells or colorful stones. All the bigger waves and majority of surfing seem to be at the southern most part of beach towards Ecola state park. If you’re looking for beautiful scenic views with aggressive jagged rocks protruding from the oceans depths then this isn’t the beach for you, but if you’re looking to sun bath, or enjoy a long walk/run along the coast then...
