MARIVEL'S KITCHEN — Restaurant in Seaside

I am not kidding you listen to me lovelies,

I have had food all over Latin America. I don’t know what’s up with this place. It looks a little freaky with all of the old school posters inside, but it kind of reminds me of an old school bar in Southern Mexico that I used to go to when I was a kid with my father. Regardless I don’t know who’s cooking in the kitchen, but it’s the best damn Mexican food I’ve ever had before in my life and I say that because it’s true.

I ate here yesterday and it was the Fourth of July and I had the huevos rancheros and it’s all I could do the next very morning to get up at 7:30 in the morning to get down there so they open at eight so I can have Wes Ranchos again today!

Nobody speaks English in this place, except for broken English from the Chaquitta that greets you, but I gotta tell you this is the best food I ever had in my life!

The only problem is it doesn’t have a liquor license yet, but they say they’re working on it but even so I would eat here just for the food, although I dream of the day that they get their liquor license so that I can have a margarita...

We had a great breakfast here and the waitress Darby was so friendly! My husband had a Mexican plate and I had bacon and eggs. The presentation of food on a sizzling plate from their grill was extraordinary at another table! They serve a variety of American and Mexican food! Their prices for entrees are excellent too! It is evident that they take pride in everything they serve. Most important to us when we try a restaurant for breakfast is, if the coffee is good and for me, is the bacon cooked right and the answer is yes for sure! We are looking forward to trying other items on the menu and will continue to patronize this business on a regular basis! (I just read the only one star review and it is absolutely NOT true! This restaurant is so clean throughout and the ladies rest room is one of the cleanest and well stocked of any I have ever been in!! Just outrageous someone would post...

Ordered a steak and an appetizer with a drink, gal taking the order didn’t write it down as I was the only one in the restaurant and so forgot how I wanted my steak cooked (fortunately came back and asked since she assumed I wanted it well done). I assumed she would remember and that’s why she didn’t want to write it down. After getting the food, they also forgot my drink too. Everything tasted good except for the steak which had a weird flavor that I’m not sure if it came from the grill or the butter they put on top, the meat itself had little to no flavor so all you could taste is that strange flavor. After finishing the meal, she charged me for a more expensive item instead of the appetizer I ordered which I didn’t notice until after I left. I was the only customer so I’m not sure how there were so many mistakes but I hope it was...
