8 Ping Yang — Restaurant in Seattle

We happened upon this place while initially looking for somewhere to have lunch. We got lucky as we found a parking garage and when led out to the courtyard, we saw 8 Ping Yang. The menu looked great and the prices didn't seem to bad either. We came in and received phenomenal service immediately. We were able to find a table for four of us (2 adults and 2 children) quickly. Their menu isn't super huge which works to their advantage because everything they do, they do well. We ordered the Cran Rangoons, Bangkok burger, Khao San - Chicken Katsu, and the pesto pasto. Everything came out very quickly, was hot (fresh) and absolutely delicious. The owner (I believe she was) came to chat with us and was extremely accommodating and even helped my 3-year-old figure out how to use the girl to grab pasta, oh and she also helped cut the pasta so it wouldn't be too long for my toddler; she was VERY sweet. I'm not too sure but I think she said they're fairly new so I had to write the review because I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who's looking for...

Outstanding Menu! The mouthwatering aroma drew me in, and I couldn’t resist trying something from the From the Charcoal Grill section. It’s a really interesting concept—first, you choose your protein, then your preferred side, and finally, the sauce to complete your dish.

I went with the steak, paired it with sticky rice, and topped it off with Jaew sauce for a Thai-style twist. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, just the way I like it. The sticky rice was served in just the right portion, and the Jaew sauce tasted just like the traditional kind you’d find in Thailand—bold, tangy, and packed with flavor.

The atmosphere of the place is warm, relaxing, and truly enjoyable for dining in. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. If you have any questions about the menu, they’re more than happy to help and answer everything clearly.

The team at 8 Ping Yang has clearly invested so much time and effort into making a flawless presentation in every aspect of the dining process! The level of service provided was top tier and the food was incredibly flavorful with unique fusions that everyone in our group enjoyed! Towards the end of our meal the chef came and greeted our table and wanted to ensure we enjoyed everything. That type of intentional gratitude is so refreshing and made our visit that much better!
