As a visitor to Seattle, I stumbled upon Artisan Cafe in the heart of downtown, and I'm so glad I did! The cafe's location offers a picture perfect view of the iconic Space Needle, making it an ideal spot to soak in the city's atmosphere while enjoying quality coffee and pastries. The interior feels quintessentially Seattle, with warm wooden tables and chairs creating a cozy, artistic vibe. Large windows let you watch the city life unfold while staying comfortable indoors, making it a perfect refuge during my exploration of downtown. I tried their Vietnamese iced coffee, which was absolutely outstanding – perfectly balanced and refreshing. My companion's iced decaf pistachio mocha was equally impressive, offering a unique flavor combination. The croissants were a highlight – we tried both a plain one and an egg-filled version, both served delightfully warm. The plain croissant had that perfect buttery, flaky texture, while the egg croissant made for a satisfying light meal. Both were clearly fresh and expertly prepared. I've literally NEVER wrote a bad review for anything in my life until this place! It upset me so much though, I have to for others. This review has nothing to do with the restaurant, but has to do with the catering. I was emailing back and forth with their event coordinator Kris about catering my small wedding. We spoke on the phone and she discusses options with me, and told me she would call me back the following week with a proposal. I was so thrilled to have found someone! Wedding planning is stressful, especially when you are doing it from out of town. Well she never got back to me...so I sent her an email the following week checking in as my wedding is only 3 months away. She didn't even have the courtesy to email or call me back!!! A simple email saying "sorry, we can not do your wedding" even would have been nice. So that's two weeks of wedding planning I could have used to find someone else. Horrible! GREAT sandwiches made with fresh, quality ingredients, as well as good quick service and fair prices. This is all served up in a cozy neighborhood Cafe. I have lived in Belltown for 10 years and have walked by this place numerous times. It's a small and unassuming space so I never really thought much of it. After all this time, I finally tried one of their sandwiches and I'm hooked. The only thing is they close at 4 p.m.😤 There have been a handful of times where I have craved one of their sandwiches but had to wait until the next day, lol.
