Was walking towards Madam Lou's to watch a show and needed a quick bite to go. Came upon their restaurant randomly and thought I try them out. Ambiance was warm with modern furnishings. Ordered the shrimp and pork spring rolls to take out. Used their washroom while waiting. Nothing fancy but was clean and stocked. Order came out a few minutes later. Food were in reusable plastic containers. I asked for chopsticks because there wasn't any in the bag and I was going to eat this while I walked. There are two spring rolls in an order. Not small but maybe slightly bigger than the typical Vietnamese spring roll. Lettuce was firm and fresh. After my second bit I was surprised to feel a crunchy texture. Not sure what it was, but it seemed like a deep fried rolled rice wrapper? Whatever it was, it made the spring roll a winner! The varying textures and flavors combined with the peanut sauce swam well in mouth. Prices on the menu are average and would be worth checking out considering the value I got from their spring rolls.

As a Vietnamese person, I’m always searching for restaurants that capture the authentic flavors of home, and Meekong Bar did not disappoint. The menu is full of classic dishes that are made with incredible attention to detail with slight variations. Ordered the village bowl and it hit all the right spots. Their prices are also extremely reasonable. The crispy spring rolls were perfectly fried, and I could tell that the ingredients were fresh and high quality. It’s rare to find a place that nails the balance between traditional and modern, but Meekong Bar does just that. Every dish had me nodding in approval and feeling nostalgic. The ambiance is relaxed yet sophisticated, which made it a great spot to unwind with friends or with a date. If you want a true taste of Vietnamese cuisine, Meekong Bar is a must-visit. Highly recommend it to anyone craving an authentic experience—coming from someone who knows!

You can tell a lot about a restaurant by the amount of takeout business it does, because it reflects both value and quality. Meekong does a lot of takeout, and it's well-deserved. The food was excellent. The service was slow, but they were understaffed and overwhelmed. The restaurant was full, and I only saw two people seated, while the rest were busy cleaning, taking orders, and delivering food, which was pretty impressive. The seating consists of standard metal stacking chairs, commonly found at many restaurants (especially outdoors). It's a fairly utilitarian restaurant, except for the odd "box of condoms" at the front door. Some locals recommended Mekong to me as well. It's a solid choice, and possibly the best for this type of food. I recommend it.

Donnie took care of drinks and food order while celebrating birthday. Cucumber martini, mojito with grilled chicken skewers and tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce

Yet another visit at this corner bar. A bit disappointing since the pho noodles were not really fresh rice noodles, the way it should be. Is that part of the fusion? Even past the normal lunchtime it was hard to get server’s attention. We ended up looking up menu online!, rather than wait for it. One got to ask for extra lime since they give only three small slices. Bean sprouts for three orders of pho was pretty light as well. I guess that’s how fusion pho goes.

What an amazing experience today at this Belltown corner fusion Vietnamese bar. It's m. After a long day and few drinks went here to spend time with my daughter. Out the window we see a young lady carrying an oversized wood table on her head. We both look at each other and were discussing which one of us should go help. To our surprise, our server, Cory, was already out there asking her to help. And Cory did help her cary the table few blocks. You deserve an applause for that Cory. Great job.

Now let's focus on food. We decided to order chicken curry dish to share. Cory told us the chef is Vietnamese- Chinese. That explained why they were adding Sichuan pho dish to the menu. Knowing Vietnamese chef, we stuck to Vietnamese style chicken curry with coconut, lemongrass and veggies. I think we made a good call. Cory was able to communication to the chef and get our curry dinner 4+ Stars. Great job Mekong team.

So, for today, food, service, quantity, quality and Corner table ambiance were terrific. But what Cory did for a stranger on the street topped everything else.

One more trip to Meekong with business aquatints from Hong Kong and this bar got a good compliment for tasty food at descent price. Between pho, chicken skewers, chicken green curry and beef noodle bowl, and hot jasmine tea cups, we covered most varieties on the new classy menu. Billy was gracious and prompt.

On one occasion, work schedule limited us to go for birthday treat at this neighborhood restaurant in Belltown. Donnie helped us with drinks and food today. Chicken satay skewers and tofu spring rolls along with cucumber martini and Moscow mule. Spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce were...

I recently dined at Meekong Bar, and my experience was unforgettable. From the moment I walked in, I felt at home with the cozy and welcoming atmosphere. As I made my way to my seat, I could see the formidable lady, the owner, working the wok in the kitchen. Her strength and dedication were evident, ensuring every dish was made with love.

The standout dish for me was their Bún Bò Huế. The first taste of this spicy beef soup took me right back to my childhood. The rich, flavorful broth, with its perfect blend of lemongrass and chili, reminded me of family meals growing up. Each spoonful brought a wave of warmth and comfort, making me feel like a kid again. The tender beef and fresh herbs added just the right touch to make it a truly special dish.

The level of customer service at Meekong Bar rivals that of Chick-Fil-A. Our waitress was incredibly attentive, always there when we needed something but never intrusive. I witnessed a heartwarming scenario where a guest accidentally spilled their drink. Without missing a beat, the staff swiftly cleaned up, replaced the drink, and even brought out complimentary appetizers to ensure the guests were happy and comfortable. This level of care and attention to detail truly stood out.

As I enjoyed my meal, memories came flooding back, making the whole experience deeply personal and moving. It wasn't just a meal; it was a trip down memory lane. There's a Vietnamese saying that goes, "Ăn để sống, không phải sống để ăn" – "Eat to live, don't live to eat." But here at Meekong Bar, it feels like you can do both.

I also have to give a shoutout to their takeout containers from Wellpack. They are sturdy and reusable, which is a big plus for me. It's nice to see a restaurant that cares about quality even in the little things.

Meekong Bar has created a dining experience that goes beyond just good food. It's a place where you can feel at home and reconnect with old memories. I can't wait to go back and enjoy it all over again. This place definitely...

This is the first 1-star review I've written in years, but the service here was basically non-existent. We were a party of 5 and the server seated us at a table in back next to a stack of half-empty cardboard boxes. After taking our orders, we were more / less on our own. One of us was served tea in a mug with an old piece of napkin floating around (apparently was still dirty from the dishwasher) - had to track the server down to get a new one because they didn't bother coming around the table to make sure everything was ok.

The first of our 5 entrees was served what felt like 10 minutes ahead of the others (very awkward). All the entrees were auctioned off when brought to the table (the server hadn't bothered keeping track of who ordered what). I had to grab silverware for one of our guests myself from the expo stand because our server neglected to bring any or offer. Drinks were left empty when finished until I got up myself to go inform the server. Same for dirty dishes and plates. It felt like they basically forgot about us after taking our orders. They definitely didn't bother checking up on us. Neither of the servers seemed to show any regret or concern about that - like this was just business as usual? It felt like neither understood how table service works. This is usually a sign of incompetent management / ownership - none of whom seemed to be around.

I picked up the check out of embarrassment for recommending this place (I did have a good dinner here several months prior). Still tipped 20% because I can't bring myself to not tip, no matter how non-existent the service was. The whole experience just felt like a textbook case of how not to...
