1 year at Demco Fitness!!!! Celebrating it with a review.
This is not a regular gym where we do 100+ squats or run non stop on the treadmill. Spoiler alert, there’s no treadmill, elliptical etc. Cardio is taken care of by Rower, Ski Erg, Sleds, Air bike. Don’t like to use any of it? Sure, you can get your heart rate up just by body weight exercise. Sonja / Selina both have some insanely effective exercise ideas. To be honest, the max reps I could remember was 12, thats the beauty of the workout program. It’s unbelievably effective. Whatever your goals are, no matter how crazy, you’d get there. All you need to do is show up!
The Gym is nicely setup. Free weights, Kettlebells, Barbells, Bench, Med Balls, Ropes, TRX. Basically just about everything you need for a killer workout.
I workout 3x / week, follow what Sonja / Selina design for me. It has changed my life. I’ve never been in better shape, both physically and mentally. This Gym is my happy place. :)

First review: Sonja is by far the best trainer I’ve ever had. She puts in a lot of effort to make a workout plan based on individual goals and fitness levels. They change every 4 weeks. Read moreI've worked with a variety of personal trainers before, but none motivated me to stick with it consistently as much as at Demco Fitness. Sonja truly works hard to provide you with a personalized, long term fitness program. She creates a schedule for each of her clients with all the exercises to do over several weeks, walks you through all of them as you go, and can explain why each routine is important. After working with Sonja for about a year, I've noticed a huge improvement in my fitness that's helped me to do things such as bike from Seattle to Portland and spend 40+ days skiing this past winter.
I also found semi-personal training to be much more fun than just having one person watch you do all your reps for the full hour. You get to work out with a few other people all doing their own programs, and Sonja is still always there to help you out and push you further. If you're really nervous about working out with other people at first, you can always book a few private sessions to start out. I highly recommend Demco Fitness and am really sad I have to find a new gym...
Read moreI've been going to Demco Fitness for over a year and I can safely say this is the place to go if you're on a journey to better health and fitness. As someone who shied away from chain gyms and trendy, aggressive crossfit studios I feel that I found exactly what I needed at Demco. Sonja and her crew have been crucial in my transformation--workouts are tailored to what you want to achieve, you're encouraged to go at your own pace, and the gym sessions have a limited number of people to ensure you're getting the proper 1 on 1 time with the trainers. Everyone at Demco is supportive, kind, and respectful and it is a great atmosphere to be in whether you're a seasoned gym rat or someone who has never lifted a weight. I've gone from someone who hasn't worked out in earnest for almost a decade to a regular at Demco. This past year has been well worth the cost and effort for me, and I believe in Sonja so much that I paid another year in advance.
