I would give this establishment a zero if possible. I walked in at around 11am on a Sunday with two other parties. The hostess greeted everyone and let them know where they may be seated, but when she came back to grab my boyfriend and I our seats, she let us know that we can take a seat anywhere we'd like. After we got our food, I walked up to the register where there was a male server, and asked him for ketchup. He gave me an annoyed stare for a long time, which intimidated me, so I walked back to my seat and waited for it. When he came to drop off my ketchup, I saw that it was frozen. Since it was apparent that I needed help (I was shaking my ketchup bottle thinking that should help), the hostess came over, but when I told her what happened and how I felt about the server's attitude towards me, and my frozen ketchup, she said "I'm sorry about that" and walked away to the register to talk about me with her coworkers behind the register very loudly, saying, "she complained about her ketchup, like, the smallest thing." My boyfriend was confused, because him and I could hear her very well, and overhearing her conversation with her coworker started to create an unsafe space for us. We were actually just expecting a new bottle of ketchup, but she did not come back with another ketchup, nor did she take the frozen ketchup from our table with her when she walked away.
Feeling deeply upset, I asked for my server to bring me a box and let him know why I am not very happy with my experience. He told me, "he is normally not like that, sorry." Few minutes later, the server who gave me the frozen ketchup came over and told me that there was a 'misunderstanding' and gave me a 10% discount on my bill.
I cannot explain the stress I was put under with this dining experience, because I was clearly being treated differently. I still wonder why I was given a cold, obviously frozen ketchup, and if it all really was just a misunderstanding. Both servers and the hostess carelessly said "I'm sorry," but cared even less about bettering our dining experience.
It is safe to say that I will never...
Read moreI got brunch here - which for me was the Lamb Souvlaki, but also the bottomless mimosas
Starting with the food, I can't say I was a huge fan of the lamb The outside was decent, but it was incredibly tough on the inside. Being really chewy and difficult to break apart is just not a good combination - it took a lot of effort to even cut it with the really sharp knife I was given. The skewer did contain a good amount of meat, but a large part of it did not taste good The tzatziki sauce given as a complement was fine - but bland. I've had better tzatziki from Costco
The dish also came with two eggs, hash browns, and two buttered english muffins The eggs were pretty fantastic. They were cooked really well, with yolks that burst with the slightest of touches. The whites were also quite soft and easy to eat. I also quite enjoyed the english muffins - they were toasted perfectly, and buttered just the right amount to be quite satsifying Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the hash browns. These might have been the worst hash browns I've ever had. They were an absolute soggy mess, very little browning on the top, served in clumps found under other food items, and were just the complete opposite of crispy. I considered having these sent back for how bad they were
The other thing we had here - the mimosas - were pretty good. The taste was pretty solid, and they didn't really feel watered down. Also, the server was continuously refilling our drinks - so we wouldn't have to wait until a glass was complete before finishing it
The price was pretty expensive. While I think it's probably worth it for the bottomless mimosas at around $20 (after tax+tip), because you're getting somewhere between 4-7 drinks for the price of 2, the lamb was not worth the $30 (inclusive) in my opinion. Overall, I ended up spending around $50 at this place - which is a lot for food that wasn't really that good
Overall, good drinks but pretty lacking and...
Read moreReally enjoyed our meal here. on the fly choice before the movies. not busy at all, just two other parties. interior felt homey, if maybe a bit aged. brick walls, stylish fixtures, and lots of plants. seated promptly and personably. wide-ranging menu of Greek specialties, pastas, and sandwiches/burgers. two interesting menu notes. they serve breakfast all day, a nice touch and they serve all you can drink mimosas all day everyday. our server couldn't have been nicer, giving us attention around the large, distracting party across the way. she made a couple of recommendations and let us peruse the choices. my wife wasn't too hungry tonight so she chose to do a cup of the Avgolemono soup and a single skewer of the Souvlaki chicken. the soup was delicious, rich and seemingly simmered for hours to bring out the lemony flavor. the chicken was fresh grilled and has a wonderfully seasoned flavor. oregano, rosemary, and a bit of paprika create the distinctive taste. served with a side of housemade Tzatziki. she loved both and when she expressed her enjoyment of the soup was offered the chef's recipe. i chose a pasta-the pesto pasta with grilled chicken. this came with an option of soup, moist and delicious chicken in a commendable quantity on top of wide noodle pasta with a totally fresh tasting pesto cream sauce. the portion was quite large and i wasn't sure i'd finish it. until i took the first bite. it all came together so deliciously i didn't leave any for later. served with choice of salad or soup and small pieces of garlic bread. i chose the salad which was the only miss of the night with rusty lettuce and a few small pieces of cucumber. didn't really detract from the experience. we will definitely be looking to visit here again when we are in the area for any events in the...
