First off- i had the steak (medium rare), and it was great. came with a spicy herb sauce and golden potatoes on the side which were a solid 10/10 for me. I also split two desserts with my friend: the tiramisu and the berry tart. the tiramisu was genuinely amazing, better than stuff i’ve had elsewhere- 11/10. berry tart was good, but won’t be getting again unless i’m craving it in particular. tasted a lot like cherry cobbler. 8/10. overall, i’m gonna go here more often. it’s the best dining experience i’ve had with HFS and i’m sad it took me two years to finally come here.

If you have excess dining hall money, or want a higher quality meal, Cultivate is a great option! Also a fun place to go with friends. I really enjoyed my food here both times. Bustling, upbeat environment with a order at the counter system. They also have long tables for groups to eat together! If getting french fries, I recommend getting their house made ranch as well. They also have dessert options, I really liked the cheesecake. Keep in mind prices are steeper than your average dining hall, but quality is much better. I personally wouldn’t order a steak here though.

Please don't get the steak. Just don't do that to yourself, you don't deserve it. I ordered a ribeye (28$ mind you) and asked for it to be done medium. When I received my food, it seemed as if they didn't listen as my "steak" was charred and over cooked, far past well done. The steak was dry and terribly difficult to consume and I'm surprised they even sell the product. But then again, it's an HFS "restraunt" so don't expect anything. Don't waste your time and money here, the ave offers better options at lower prices.

We waited an hour and a half for food that was okay at best. Other people were seated at the same time as us and received their food, ate and left 20 minutes before we got our food. In the mean time, our waitress refused to acknowledge our table even when we were out of water. When the food finally arrived, my side order was swapped, my burger was not cooked to order (I ordered rare and received well done) and despite my request to hold pickles and onions, my burger arrived with both. I understand that most of the restaurant staff are college students, however the service is terrible because the workers do not work for tips. Literally the only redeeming quality of Cultivate is the food, which is nothing special anyway. I am a college student with relatively low standards when it comes to restaurants, however this is the first time in my life I have felt compelled to write a review. The dismissive and rude service staff make cultivate's food...

The wait was unbearable. We waited an hour and half for our food to arrive while we watched people who arrive later get served before us. After an hour all our conversation consisted of was questioning whether they remembered we were even there. When I finally got my seafood yellow curry, it left much to be desired. The salmon was overdone and had large amounts of bright silver skin left on it. That wasn't even the worst of it, the curry had so many tomatoes, I could taste nothing else; perhaps it was better that way. There were many different flavors that should have been present, but all I could taste were tomatoes. I am not even upset about the cost. It was paid for by a friend with extra money on their dining account. Even though the meal was completely free for me, I would have preferred to have bought my own food and eaten almost...

a money-laundering scheme for UW HFS, so overpriced that I wouldn't go here unless I had a mandatory dining plan of $880 per quarter and wanted to burn money. but I do have such a dining plan, and I go here often to splurge. food quality varies; American food, as in sandwiches hamburgers milkshakes are pretty decent. god forbid if you get any Asian food specials. friend ordered a chasu ramen, ate one nibble of noodles and a sip of the broth and almost considered not paying for the inedible thing. i tried it and couldn't believe they put it on the menu, never mind calling it ramen. service is pretty slow, food is slow to come out and paying the bills take a long time

so one star for the hamburgers and milkshakes, and another for the...
