Current Coffee — Restaurant in Seattle

This shop has been on my check out list for a while and I have so much regret for not visiting sooner because I am enamored. The atmosphere is bright, blue, with beachy accents and a very fun wallpaper of people drinking coffee. There's a downstairs where you order and a moderately sized upstairs lounge with a good amount of seating, puzzles, books and games. Their retail coffee selections rotate from the best roasters in the northwest like Boon Boona, Luna, Olympia, Camber, Dorothea and I love seeing a shop really boast what our region has to offer. I ordered an espresso of Luna's washed Honduras which had an extremely smooth body yet popping notes of pear and strawberry, and also ordered a blackcurrant scone which hit the spot. I always try to find coffee shops that can make a good vanilla latte. Seems like an easy ask, but man, it is tough! This place nailed it--the perfect oatmilk vanilla latte! The seating area is upstairs in a lofted area which makes it a great cozy and quiet work environment. Nice background music and neat decor and architecture with exposed brick, wood panels, and a big floating bookcase. Big windows that let in natural light, but also not too bright. Food options are limited, just some croissants & pastry type options, but they looked decent. Not a ton of seating, so I would imagine on the weekends it fills up quickly. Fantastic new addition to Admiral coffee scene! They've got a great selection that is locally sourced - including the likes of Dorothea & Olympia.

The shop itself has great vibes! It's got a great mix with a sleek tile bar setup and unique murals on the main level. Also has an interesting selection of all-natural wines for sale - to peruse while you want for your coffee.

Upstairs is a cozy but modern wood-paneled seating area with shelves of books and unique trinkets - not to mention the colored glass vintage chandelier!

It's quickly become one of my go-to destinations for a weekend coffee...
