My experience at Mioposto was fantastic overall! I came during happy hour (About 5:30 pm). Our server, Claire, did an outstanding job balancing being both friendly and efficient. The staff here worked cohesively. The manager was present on the floor and every employee who walked by me while I was waiting greeted me. This was a cozy yet lively pizzeria. More standard than gourmet. The food was good overall but I would stick to commonly known pizzas and skip the salad and dessert. Finally, the industry standard for tipping has generally been to tip on the pre-taxed check amount, otherwise, similarly situated restaurant servers in Oregon, for example, would receive less. Patrons in restaurants in some localities pay upwards of 13% total tax on food, which would put staff there at a similarly situated restaurant making well beyond what a server would make in Portland, Ore. for example (overall.) This could be the fault of the check computing website and not the restaurant. Detailed Notes: Service: Excellent- Exceeded Expectations. I left 22%. 6/5 Atmosphere/ Cleanliness: Clean. Lively but not loud. Casual and appropriate for singles, couples, and families. 5/5 Food: The servings were on the light side of average, but still acceptable. Overall 4/5. Details: Rosemary Bread: Excellent, great flavor, and expected portion size. Caesar Salad: Good but slightly under-portioned for the price and considering it was special.** Personal Pizzas: Pepperoni pizza met expectations and had a remarkably savory flavor. The mushroom pizza was slightly overcooked and under-sauced.*** Chocolate Gnocchi Cake: Tiny. Overall good, but it was average supermarket bakery quality.

We went here last weekend for dinner for the first time. How we've never been here is beyond me. We arrived during happy hour (woohoo!). We shared a beet salad which is my new favorite thing (you know you're getting old when you're like "oh yes, they have beets!"). It was delicious. Then we each got our own pizzas so we had leftovers. We could have usually shared one and been full. They also had happy hour personal sized pizzas. If you get one of those though I would definitely recommend adding a salad or something if you're hungry. They have gluten free and regular crust. I tried the prosciutto and arugula and I loved it. I should note that I really love wood-fired pizza so I generally am never disappointed with it and I'm happy to say theirs is very very good. I also had their happy hour rose, thumbs up. They had some nice non-alcoholic drink options, as well. I would get here early if you can as the place is pretty tiny. They do have a wait list online that you can add your name to though we haven't tried that yet. Great happy hour options. Update: I still love this place. The happy hour is one of my favorites in West Seattle. Get there early to avoid the wait. Super friendly service. I still love the happy hour rose. The happy hour pizza is a fantastic size. This time, i ordered the happy hour prosciutto and arugula pizza and my husband got the Pinocchio. If you're hungry, share a happy hour salad (got the cesar this time, but i love the beet salad) and an appetizer. You really can't go wrong.

My uber-kind, in-the-know, local friend took me to Mio Posto my last afternoon I was in Seattle. She had promised me that it was some of the BEST FOOD EVER and she was spot-on! I was delighted to be part of this experience that I knew would be unforgettable! I was delighted that they make their own bitters and the bitters-and-soda I ordered was one of the best beverages I've ever had. I ordered the lunch special of a pizza with salad. The arugula salad was fresh and lovely and oh. The Pizza. Ground lamb with peppers, cheese, and herbs - and I asked for a little of the Calabrian oil on the side - perfection on every level. The crust was so delicious, I had to finish every last bite. We had peach sorbetto for dessert because my mouth was a little on fire from the oil! Service was very kind, the setting is warm and welcoming ... this was truly a sublime experience. Grazie mille!

Edit: Raising the review from 3/5 to 5/5 because I was contacted by management and they assured me that they take the issue of dietary restrictions very seriously, and sincerely apologized for the issue I experienced. They emphasized to their staff the importance of getting this right for people, and made the issue a service focus for their team. The communication was super professional and appreciated.

Mioposto has a very comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. The first time I ate at Mioposto, everything came out perfect. The cocktail was super tasty, and the pizza was the best I've had in a very long time. Unfortunately, on my latest visit to Mioposto, they did not make the pizza using the vegan mozzarella. By the time I realized it was different, it was too late to do anything about it. I didn't want the messed up pizza to be thrown away. I am sure they would have made me a new pizza if I had asked, but that would have meant throwing almost an entire pizza in the garbage, as I had already eaten a slice. I hate the idea of wasting food, so just I ate it. I have worked in food service, so I understand that mistakes happen, but with dietary restrictions they really should be more careful. Just a bit disappointed. I just hope they are more attentive (especially regarding vegan options and modifications)...
