I walked into Desi Pizza Kitchen not knowing what to expect. My friends and I were in the neighborhood and wanted to try a pizza place that weâve never been to before. We were very pleasantly surprised!
Desi Pizza Kitchen isnât a very big restaurant. Thereâs a counter to order at and just 4 or 5 small tables to sit at. Luckily, it wasnât very busy on a Thursday night, and most of the folks who stopped in ordered takeout so we had a nice quiet place to sit and enjoy our food.
We ordered a variety of items off the menu to try:
Chili Chicken Momos â these were chicken dumplings in a spicy chili sauce đ„”. So deliciousâhighly recommend.
French fries (always gotta try the fries!)âfor $4.99, these were an incredible value. They were crispy and delicious (the seasoning was greatâreminded me a bit of Red Robin?) and were a very large helping. Will definitely go back to try their chicken tenders and fries combo.. for some reason I just have to try chicken tenders at some point at every restaurant I go to if theyâre on the menu.
Old Man Nick saladâthis was pretty much a Greek salad. Nothing to really write home about, but the ingredients were very fresh and it was pretty size-able for just $9.99. Shareable b/t 4 people alone but 6 with the amount of food we ordered.
Butter Chicken wingsâthese wings were very flavorful and cooked perfectly. I thought they couldâve been spicier (they werenât spicy at all), but maybe it was my fault for ordering just the âmediumâ spice level.
Butter Chicken pizza XLâIâve never had butter chicken pizza before, and after this experience I donât think itâll be my last time. The pizza had a good amount of chicken on it. W.
âThe Bayâ pizza XLâthis 16âpizza had pepperoni, Canadian bacon, Italian sausage, black olives, and mushrooms. This is an S-Tier combo for protein lovers like me so definitely had to order it. If there werenât any ladies in the group, I probably would have rolled this up like a burrito and ate it in one sitting all by myself đ
The staff were very friendly. The bill came out to just over $100 that we split b/t 6 people. Overall, I was impressed with the food at Desi Pizza Kitchen and would definitely recommend trying. Iâm more of a thin-crust pizza guy (unless itâs Chicago deep dish), but I would eat this...
Read moreI really want to support this local spot because the food was consistently great every time I visited. Their dishes were always fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared, making it clear they take pride in what they serve. Itâs the kind of place you can rely on when you're craving something comforting and delicious. Today was differentâŠ
The woman who works the front is quite unfriendly and often seems impatient. On my last visit, I was disappointed to find out that the dish I initially wanted was out of stock, which, of course, happens sometimes. But rather than being understanding, she tapped her fingers impatiently while I tried to figure out an alternative. It was a small gesture, but it left me feeling rushed and uncomfortable, especially since I was trying to support a local business. I ordered my normal sandwich since what I originally wanted was out of stock. The sandwich is completely different and missing A LOT of what is normally on it. It was also just drenched in dressing, I just threw it out. It was not edible.
I get that running a busy spot can be stressful, but a little more patience and kindness would go a long way. The food is great, but if you're going to treat your customers with that level of indifference, it definitely impacts the overall experience. Hopefully, they can work on making the service a bit more welcoming, as the food truly deserves that...

If you love Indian food, if you love pizza, Desi Pizza Kitchen is a MUST.
Chili Momos (chicken) - doughy, soft, thick and sauced up. These dumplings are full of flavor, you canât go wrong.
Fries (regular) - Iâm a ketchup fiend. I have to have my fries with ketchup. No ketchup, no fries. The fries here? I devoured without a drop of ketchup in sight. Itâs a beautiful mix of crispy, pillowy goodness with perfectly balanced seasoning of salt and other spices.
Chicken Wings (Hot) - Meaty, wet and sauced up. These went down too easy.
Butter Chicken Pizza (Medium Spice) - Iâve had Indian pizza before and itâs been good. But my oh my does this pizza blow anything like it out of the water. The flavor is POPPING, perfectly rationed chicken and beautifully spread sauce. The crust is phenomenal, itâs airy with just the right amount of thickness. 10/10.
My wife and I agreed that we have to come back here and try more things...
