I'm coming in hot after my recent experience where I was charged $40 for SNS removal. $40!! The technician explained that she spent 45 minutes removing my dipping powder and about the Seattle minimum wage, but hey, this isn't my first rodeo. I frequently get SNS dipping power and it has never taken 45 minutes to remove it, so if she did it right, it wouldn't have taken that long and she wouldn't have to overcharge me some arbitrary amount. Let's see how other salons charge - salon names hidden. The first screenshot is from havegoodnail. For regular gel removal, it's $5 but they can charge 8x for dipping power. Makes sense...NOT! Next example from Ballard charges $10 for dip removal. Last example from Wallingford charges $15 for dipping powder removal. Basically, I was robbed simply because she couldn't get the job done.
Also, to the salon -- whatever plastic piece you were using to press the cotton on was not doing its job to keep pressure on the nails. Go with the foil pieces that...
Read moreWow! What an incredible experience. I made an appointment before my wedding to come and get manicures and pedicures with my mom, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law. Not only was it so easy to communicate with Anna and her team, but we were made to feel so special and pampered. I got the honey pedicure and a classic manicure. First of all, the pedicure was so luxurious. Between the scrub, the hot stones, and the foot/leg massage, I was so incredibly relaxed for the remainder of the day. The polish choices are extensive and the stylists were patient as we deliberated our colors. The stylists paid us individual attention, took their time, and were very kind. The facilities felt very clean. I liked that they used individual basins of water instead of jetted tubs. I will absolutely come back to this salon for future services, and highly...
Read moreI really don’t like to share bad reviews but I don’t want anyone to have the experience I did— 12 days ago I came here and got a manicure with tip extensions for $85 (NOT INCLUDING TIP). My technician warned me the nails might fall off since they’re extensions and I said I understand (I’ve been getting nail extensions off and on in Seattle for the past 4 years).
Not even a full week later half of my nails fell off. I was so disappointed that I asked for a refund. I was forced to speak to the owner on the phone for almost 15 minutes as she repeated herself over and over that this was my fault and she wouldn’t give refunds. Then she changed her story and said it’s been more than 14 days so she can’t give me a refund. I kindly pointed out that it was 12 days and then she went back to her other story. Please...
