we had the worst experience I have EVER had in a restaurant. after finishing and waiting 30 minutes for our tab, we asked if we could pay and our server (who was great!) told us that they accidentally had another table pay for our tab, and they were calling them to reverse their payment, so that they could then charge us for ours. after waiting for a few more minutes, we got up and went to the bar where the manager (?) by the name of Matt was making the phone calls. we asked if we could be rung up on a new tab so we could pay and leave, as it’s not fair to expect us as the customer to wait further due to their mistake. I get mistakes happen - that’s not the issue. the issue is where Matt handled this. he was snappy at this request - incredibly rude, raised his voice, pointed his fingers at us telling us he was working on it and threw his hands in the air acting like it’s a ridiculous ask to have a new tab. after stating we already waited for 30 minutes, he mocked us saying “oh really you waited for 30 minutes? the YOU should have gotten up sooner to ask for our bill instead of waiting so long.” uh, that’s not our job. we were trying to be patient as our server was new. he then told us there was no other way to ring us out because he “can’t possibly know what we had”. we said we can tell him what we got, and he continued to talk in a condescending tone acting as if there’s no way we would know what we ordered. I was physically shaking and in shock being treated so poorly as a customer. he could have EASILY communicated the issue they were having in a calm and sympathetic way, but instead lashed out his frustrations on us. we were out to celebrate my best friends promotion and her last night in seattle before moving to a different state, and what began as a great meal with good food and good service turned so sour because of an employee having no grasp on what quality customer service and basic communication skills means. very disappointing and unfortunately we will...
Read moreThe restaurant was bright, modern, and roomy. The service was friendly, and quick. Once we placed our order, all of the food came out within 10 minutes, which is pretty quick for a sit down restaurant. Overall, the food and experience was great! I'd recommend trying it out, and we will certainly be back! Not to mention, the prices are great. We ordered the following:
Isarn Pork Sausage - Pretty tasty! It had a small amount of spice, and a medium smoky flavor. Honestly, this would have been great in fried rice, but was still good on its own. Everything Papaya Salad - The papaya was thinly sliced, and juicy with the sauces of the dish. Additionally, it was not very fishy (which is what I like, but it's not super traditional). We got level 3 spicy, and you could feel the kick after one bite. Lot of flavor overall! Hat Yai Fried Chicken - Lightly fried (not deep fried). The chicken was juicy with crispy, not greasy skin. It was cooked very well! It doesn't have that much spices on it, but the chicken tasted very good. Chiang Mai Curry Noodle - Best we've had so far! It's been bland at other places, but here very flavorful. The noodles were cooked well, slightly spicy, and quite a big portion! Thai Iced Milk Tea - The drink was one of the better ones I've had, it had a stronger tea taste, a tad bit of sweetness, and a normal amount of milk. Other places it's like I'm drinking half and half or taste nothing but syrup, but this is light! Sweet Young Coconut Cream - Amazing! They serve it in a coconut, with Tapioca Balls, and the coconut meat. I recommend trying the poached egg, it adds a salty layer. If you like coconut, you should try it!
All of what we got above was only $75 (not including tax nor tip)! For the quality and amount of the food, service, and the setting, this was a great deal! We left with leftovers and...
Read moreI'm really sad to report the first place we tried to go to was 2OnePlus and the other person in my party didn't meet the requirements.
So from here I trusted it. She could find us a restaurant to eat at. This place was the selection.
O k so when we walked in it looked cute the music was nice.
I wanted a booth, so we got set by the door.
I can get into so much detail but i'm gonna get right to it...
We ordered some lemongrass wings off the happy hour menu and the sight of them were horrible and the taste was blah and bland and charred burnt !
We immediately were not a fan and my home girl. Wish that we would have got some other mini chicken or another
So it's funny to me that the waitress came to the table and asked how everything was going. And I asked what did she mean by that atmosphere food etc...
She looked down at the wings and made a comment of "these are dry ? So it's like she KNEW!! but I am not that type , so we kept them .
Now I am thinking the disrespect of those wings would of been made up in customer service...nah buddy , once the WPs came in , it was a wrap!
We didn't get seen anymore, I had to go get my own chop sticks and check! It was a mess.
They were just flooding in like a snow storm . And remind you, by the door - they are now using our booth as a lean on me station . I almost asked if one wanted to sit and join us . Too close ..
It was time to goooooo! Our food sat forever til we seen a box. So ummm yeah - company good , SOME of our food good , NOT those crispy critter wings and mos def NOT the Service. Kind crew but not attentive to Me and Mine.
Well hit it for the one time,...
