I came here to be in a relaxing spa environment. The salon is very spacious and relaxing, so this need was met. However, the nail tech (Sue) doing my pedicure rushed through the entire pedicure and manicure and although she did a good paint job, I can’t help but feel really disappointed that I’m out $90 for a rushed Mani Pedi. The massage portion was especially mediocre and disappointing with light awkward rubbing vs actual relaxing massaging (see uploaded video). I’d also like to mention that the nail tech stopped mid massage on one leg to rush putting on the acetone/foil to remove my shellac. She then threw a towel on my lap and used the metal cuticle pusher to remove my polish while getting flakes all over my clothes (keep in mind this was all mid massage/pedicure). In my opinion this was incredibly tacky and made me very annoyed. This was very uncomfortable and not at all relaxing. She then proceeded with my massage and instead of using lotion she drenched my legs in a mixture of mostly oil and lotion and it felt so weird. My manicure was even worse with less than 60 seconds of “massaging” for both arms and completely opted out of lotion and used oil instead (odd). I ended up putting lotion on myself after being told my time was up. My biggest pet peeve is being rushed and that is my actual deciding factor in not returning and feeling obligated to leave this review. I’d also like to mention that the salon was especially slow and there were like five nail techs lounging around, so i don’t understand why Sue felt the need to rush me out. I most likely won’t be returning but the actual paint job was nice if that’s all you’re interested in and if you don’t mind the...
Read moreI got a shellac Mani and Pedi with Yuri. My hands were extremely busted up so the outcome is a miracle to me. I like that 1 person did everything for me esp when they're good. (I followed 3 people for 10 yrs back in LA and they're the gold standard.) Yuri took my feedback very well as we went. She was incredibly kind, patient, giggled off my quirkiness/requests and did what I asked so that I could get the results I wanted. I am not difficult but I am very specific and many nail techs tend to take it too personally but she didn't. I saw staff sanitize surfaces and appliances in between customers and they don't talk loudly. Seems like they purposely use a quiet, softer volume to maintain ambiance. Great teamwork with the operations because they get so busy. Haven't seen a nail shop like this in a long time.
I came in on a booked up day and couldn't wait 2 hrs so I scheduled next day and requested someone who cuts cuticles very well. Front desk assured me they'd have a suitable person work on me.
I've been in Seattle for 1 yr looking for my go-to person and I think I finally found her but I'm moving soon so I hope Yuri gets more...
Read moreI have been coming here close to 8 years, so I really hate to have to write this review. The last two pedicures I’ve gotten here have been subpar, and for the prices they charge they should be stellar. (And have been in the past) Things I had issues with: both technicians were humorless and unfriendly polish did not last two weeks (usually this lasts a month and a half at least for pedicure) one of the technicians used her fingernails during the massage and I was left with scratch marks (how can this be hygienic?) the last technician made my nails pointy when I told her I wanted them square. the last technician talked constantly to the other girls and acted like my pedicure was the last thing on her mind they used to put your flip flops on for you so you didn’t mess up the nails.. neither one did this both technicians manhandled my feet and legs like they weren’t attached to a living person, the whole experience was painful and uncomfortable.
I’ve loved coming here in the past but after I use my gift certs I think I will be finding a new nail place. Pedicures should be luxurious and relaxing...
