Gluten free doughnuts? Yes, please! I ordered a maple one to test because I have been disappointed at many places in the past. One of the things I miss most since going gluten free is a good doughnut. Many places try and most fail but not Dough Joy! Not only was the doughnut delicious, they were kind enough to let me try a chai one as well and it was even more delicious. These are more of a cake-style so do not go in expecting light and airy yeasty goodness but oh man are these worth the trip! I will DEFINITELY be back to try the other gluten free flavors next. (I stopped in during Sunday Farmers Market and they had not one, not two, but FOUR flavors available in gluten free!!! ×cheers× ) Thank you so much, Dough Joy for not only thinking of those of us who cannot have gluten, but for taking the time to really try and succeed in making a tasty product which isn't always easy when working with alternative flours. Your efforts are greatly appreciated- you made my day!!!

Ordered one cookies and cream donut to try the new place out. The donut tasted very good, service was friendly, and atmosphere was very aesthetically put together. My only gripe is price. The donuts are good but 4.40 just feels a bit high for a singular donut even if it is "specialty". TLDR: tasty donuts, kind workers, but not worth the price. Would consider coming again if donuts have more unique flavors, come in larger sizes or prices decrease. Mostly if something changes that makes the price fit the food a little better. (For a first open I think the place looks lovely and is absolutely worth a try, these are just things I found to be dissatisfying as a customer)

Dough Joy freaking rules, and I couldn’t be happier that they just opened a location in Ballard. Before I even get to the doughnuts, I am blown away by how cool the space is in general. Great neon sign and merch game and you just feel great walking into the building. I’ve never had a doughnut from them that wasn’t spectacular, but I’d like to give a big shoutout for the Apple fritter, French toast doughnut, and vanilla biscoff. Lastly, the owners Sean and Christopher are some of the sweetest and most genuine human beings that you’ll ever meet. Dough Joy is a gem, so let’s support them and make sure they remain a longstanding fixture of the Ballard community.

As I was driving to this location to pick up some Pride Doughnuts, I was listening to music I thought to myself "this place should only play dance music like being out at a club." Clearly, they're in my head because I got there about 7:20 AM and the music was at a tasteful volume but absolutely exactly the kind of upbeat fun I wanted. I was helped by a pair of workers who were quick and friendly. I have since learned that the pride doughnuts are the manifestation of what every conservative fears. I'm pretty sure just being in the same vicinity as one of those amazing sugar bombs sprinkles you with magic glitter that makes you a sparkly, rainbow unicorn. I feel a little gayer for having eaten one of those delightful pastries and I could not be prouder. Thank you for blessing us with your creations and making Pride extra...

I remember when they were operating only as a food truck and was pleasantly surprised to see they opened a (3rd!) shop near me. I'm happy to see them doing well.

They offer both classic styles and unique, fun flavored donuts: I've thoroughly enjoyed several I've tried, even the Everything but the Bagel one. I had no idea donuts were all vegan at first, and it's even more amazing they offer some GF. Moreover, their donuts tend to be on the larger side and their filled ones don't skimp on the fillings either. So all things considered above, I think I'm getting a great deal for my $. Lastly, they have a full espresso bar plus non-caff and even energy drink specials. It's cute they've topped my drink orders with a donut...
