Incredibly rude barista, terrible experience. The barista with the pink hair was very rude and condescending and unhelpful.
Maybe reconsider being in service work if you don’t like to interact with people. Came in for the seasonal latte, they were out of nonfat and 2% milk - I opted for almond. The speciality latte came out over $8 for an 8 oz, and I wanted it iced, in which she scoffed and said they do 12oz min for the iced drinks. I said that I didn’t want to pay more for a 12oz and I wanted to switch to an iced Americano 12oz, in which she said “I don’t make the prices” to me. Wow, how rude (I know she doesn’t make the prices) - anyway, I won’t be coming back - head to a nearby cafe instead like Volunteer Cafe a few blocks away.
Btw I’ve lived around this neighborhood for 10 years previously, there are plenty of small overpriced cafes you can support in Seattle and...
Read moreI’ve been in a handful of times in the last couple weeks and have been very confused at the huge change in service and environment from before the change of owners. I remember this place being warm, inviting and full of good vibes. I loved this place. I moved further away for a bit and have come back to find a cold, ambivalent place where I’ve only stayed to get coffee once due to inattentive staff, unusually long wait times (when there’s only one person in line) and the general negative vibe. I tried to come back a few times before I wrote a review because I was sure it had to be just an off day or two. Each time I didn’t stay because of how uncomfortable it was to stand inside an empty coffee shop forever waiting to order from staff that didn’t seem to care about much. Hugely disappointing for a place...
Read moreLight, airy, minimalist aesthetic cafe with decent seating (7+ tables), including 2 corner booths by the windows! Coffee was ok; about $1 - 2+/drink more expensive than other Seattle cafes. They have a staff-curated book selection on the walls, along with a few notebooks, stickers, water bottles and other small items for sale. They also had 2 very clean bathrooms with diaper changing tables, which is always appreciated.
Appears to be a popular choice for ppl working remotely or friends stopping by for a quick chat. The space and table to table distance is quite narrow, so I wouldn't recommend it as kid friendly (though they had some children's books). Even some moms sat outside on the outdoor patio as there was more space for the prams / strollers. Better as a pickup...
