My partner and I really enjoy Zeeks pizza, however we ordered tonight at about 6 with an expected delivery time of 6:35. At about 6:50 we hadn’t heard anything or gotten a tracking text for delivery which usually happens.
We called and the person on the phone was very kind and said that they got slammed with over 40 deliveries and that our pizza was “In Route.” I thanked him and wished him luck. As we hung up the phone we got the delivery tracking text finally, however it said the driver was “Heading to the Restaurant.” At 7:40 or so, we checked again and it still said “Heading to the Restaurant” and now the delivery was 8:15.
I called again, and told the person who answered the phone what was going on. When he came back after checking on the pizza, he informed me that he was going to give us a refund and that his driver had gone home. Apparently the driver had “waited around for a while and tried calling a few times.” Implying the driver was here at some point but he never explicitly said that.
We never received a single phone call, the phone number on the order was clearly correct because we had gotten texts to it regarding that order. The phone number does not have any spam call monitoring. Every call would come through.
The man on the phone then said to add an apartment or call box number to the address for delivery. After starting a new order on the app to test, the address does, in fact, have the apartment on it. Not only that, but the apartment call box is labeled with last names so it could’ve been compared and called if he somehow couldn’t have seen the full address which seems quite questionable considering his job is delivering. It’s a very small building, and no one else in it shares the last name on the order.
We genuinely enjoy the food, but I feel like it’s clear that either the driver did not do their due diligence or was pulling something over on them considering we never got a single phone call nor a call box buzz despite the address being correct and the last name being available.
I am unsure what happened tonight but it is incredibly frustrating to wait close to 2 hours for your food and then be told it’s being refunded and it was somehow our fault. I hope that this does not...
Read moreA friend and i recently stopped in for food at Zeek's. Hmm. Salad and pizza, got Hurricane, a veg pizza. The salad was good
Been trying to figure out--but..here's how it landed: felt like different layers trying to exist on the same plate. The crust seemed prebaked (partly) with a very (too) thin layer of almost undecipherable sauce, topped with another really thin layer of cheese and then a too raw layer of vegetables, all of which were sitting atop the pizza. None of the topping ingredients were at all mixed into the cheese layer.
The seemingly pre-baked crust (which was puffy--a strange consistency I personally don't like in crust) resulted in a lukewarm pizza. The friend i was with was perfectly content--I won't go back.
The staff were friendly but for me, the least satisfying pizza experience I've...
Read moreWe came here because we love the area, but the outrageous prices (even for Seattle) left us with a bad taste in our mouths. We ordered one medium pizza, and added a few toppings. Our go tos are pepperoni, pineapple, and jalapeño. At our regular place, we pay an upcharge of a dollar or two for each topping, particularly for the pepperoni. At Zeeks, each of these were $4. That’s right, they are charging $4 to add a couple pieces of a jalapeño that at most would cost 70 cents at Trader Joe’s. I understand restaurants mark items up for a profit, but a margin that high is wild. So all together, adding these toppings was a full $12 in addition to the pizza itself. Which was decent, but leaned towards mediocre. It’s not pizza I would remember or crave,...
