We recently visited the Old Salt location in Ballard and loved the whole experience. The storefront is so charming, the colors really stand out! While there isn’t indoor seating, there are some outdoor spots to enjoy your food. Parking was surprisingly easy, with free street options nearby. The bagels here are not your traditional dense, hard-to-chew kind, which is exactly why I love them! They’re chewy, fluffy, and moist — such a refreshing change. We tried the Kippered Salmon Sandwich and the Smoked Cod Sandwich. At first, I thought the prices were a bit high, but the portions of fish were generous and filling, so it felt well worth it. Another pleasant surprise was the coffee. Usually, bakery coffee can be bitter or disappointing, but Old Salt’s was smooth and easy to drink, perfect pairing with their bagels. Overall, a wonderful spot in Ballard with unique bagels and excellent fish sandwiches. Definitely worth a visit!

I had the Lox bagel sandwich, my kids each had a plain bagel no cream cheese and my husband had a plain bagel with cream cheese. We all loved them. The house cured salmon was delish! I would say, personal opinion here, that this place is more expensive than our other bagel eating locations. Aside from that the atmosphere is great, service was incredibly friendly. My only wish would be that they put a menu on a larger board so you can see what they offer prior to arriving at the checkout. I’m super indecisive and don’t enjoy the pressure of not knowing what I want with people waiting in line behind me. Again, this is a total personal preference. Our experience was great and I am looking forward to going back for the other salmon bagel.

POV: Sunday morning, post-Saturday night seattle shenanigans. I'm talking 3 a.m. dance floors, bus, next place, no sleep, another club. But now, as the sun rises over the city, I'm craving something real, a taste of comfort, a dose of familiarity. All I can think about is this places sesame bagel, but it's not just the bagel itself, it's the chili cream cheese that makes my heart skip a beat. Make sure you get your bagel toasted, I feel like it’s a big hug on my plate on a crisp fall morning. I mean, who needs a significant other when you have a bagel and cream cheese combo like this? That first bite? Pure bliss. If you're looking for a bagel spot that truly gets it, a new Sunday ritual, look no further. Old salt F&B is more than just a breakfast spot, it’s a sanctuary...

Bagel lovers, this is the spot. These bagels are so soft, chewy, moist, flavorful, and the right bit of crunchy. Your senses will delight! The shmears are delish. My husband loves their fish products, I keep it veggie. If they offered an onion bagel and an egg sando option it would push it into the realm of utter perfection. Mimosas would be a great extra touch too.

You can always find a place to sit if you wanna enjoy it there. The online ordering makes takeaway a breeze. Grab some bonus bagels to slice and freeze for your at-home fix - that's what we do.

The price is on the high end but that's typical for Seattle. The thing about this place is it's actually worth it. Nothing compares and we've tried them all, just...
