How could you not love and appreciate a 24 hour spot for food and drink. Well, they have a window during the day were they won't serve alcohol due to the law. My food has always been pretty tasty, but also almost always cooked slightly longer than wanted. Not is a way it's burned, but if it were steak, I'd called it well done. Now the has browns on the other hand are the opposite. lol. I wish they were more on the crispy side than soft side. It seems like this is the only 24 place thats worth going in the area. I swear every time I've gone this place is fairly full and the wait also reflects. Even when it's not full there's always more people than I expect. The interior isn't exactly anything special. When you walk in the bar kitchen set up is more centralized and the seating is mainly on either side. No and uncommon set up in this area, but is slowly fading. I enjoy how it creates multiple dining atmospheres. One side is for sure more of a dive bar than the other. I can't say that I have ever ordered a drink at this location, but I also haven't noticed anything fancy or stand out on their menus. Their food selection is similar. Typical food food this type of set up. Luckily my food has always been fairly good for and portions are slightly larger. It isn't cheap, which is probably why is tastes decent. I always feel like I'm getting my moneys worth. I've never been blown away by the food, but I've never been let down. When nothing else is open and I need someone to make me something warm, I don't hesitate. Even when I come alone and have a long wait on food, I'm not let down. There always seems to be a decent group at the bar that I end up engaging with while I pass the time. If you're from the area, don't be surprised if you bump into an old friend or two.

Love the vibe and the collage of crass, sassy signage decorating the walls. Food was solid, prices reasonable, and service prompt. I had a basic burger that did not disappoint. Upgraded to "jojos," which are deep fried potato wedges, over the default fries. The jojos were good, but I'm not sure the difference is worth $3. Standouts: The menu includes a hot cider, which is great on the chill, damp days of Seattle in autumn. They also offer a standalone burger for about $6, which can be paired ad-hoc with various sides. My girlfriend built a small meal of a burger and mac and cheese and sipped hot cider to warm up while we waited. All for less than $15, iirc. Other call-outs: The bathrooms were apparently questionable enough that members of our party were directed by the guy behind the bar away from one and into the other, which wound up being sorta gross inside anyway. I have to wonder: was the second one absolutely plastered with waste, or was the staff trying to avoid cleaning two bathrooms on a slow day? Can't really say, but it stuck out as a bit odd. The only truly negative note was that we had two pro bodybuilders in the group, both carrying their protein shakers. A server swooped in as we sat down to inform them matter-of-factly that they could not drink from the shakers. I understand the rationale, but that moment felt authoritarian and infantalizing. It was like being caught sneaking candy into a movie theater run by tattooed schoolmarms, except that the candy was just what these two needed to hit their protein macros while traveling for Thanksgiving and eating out. Makes me wonder how often people try to sneak booze in.

Assaulted by manager! AWFUL people and disgusting attitudes. The worst staff I have EVER encountered and completely unfit to be in service. Waitress was one of the most arrogant and vicious employees more concerned with her ego than her patronage. Manager should be fired, perhaps arrested, for assault. After being completely disrespected by a very nasty waitress, we finally got some drinks. She was already in a bad mood and was just rude the entire time. A friend hit a vape, which was not cool, but then we got kicked out. After being kicked out, the nasty waitress then came to tell us we still needed to come and pay and so I went back in to do so. I then said that she didnāt need to kick us out and couldāve just said it wasnāt okay to vape, though there were clearly others doing so, at which point the manager came and grabbed my throat and tried to hit me. Despite me saying multiple times that I was just trying to pay, I was repeatedly physically assaulted by the manager and was in complete shock of how disgustingly we were treated over such a minimal ordeal. Particularly because I was trying to pay the bill, there was no need whatsoever to have any hands placed on anyone, as grown adults in our mid/late 30s. The waitress was looking for a reason to kick us out, even though we stayed calmly at our table, doing nothing wrong, apart from the friend who hit a vape (which again, shouldnt have but we saw multiple others doing the same), and without warning our entire table treated like we had just tried to rob the bar. Furthermore, to be physically assaulted without cause or warning by a manger or owner, is the worst kind of response when trying to pay. This place is near the space needle and should be better accustomed to welcoming visitors but is clearly a place full of pretense and aggression. So AVOID at all costs. The entire city is full of wonderful people, welcoming and lovely folks. This place is the absolute worst and I HATE that they even warrant time writing this review. To the waitress who decided to choose hate that day- Iām sorry for you and that your life is so unhappy that it made you feel good to be an ugly person. Maybe life will lead you to something more fulfilling in the new year that brings you joy from being kind as opposed to a negative and rude person. To the manager who tried to hit me multiple times- your actions were despicable and unwarranted. You had no idea what was going on and the reason you have deplorable staff is because you display that kind of awful behavior as a standard. How you can ever think itās okay to physically assault a customer, especially the one who was trying to settle the billā¦. Iām appalled by you and I hope that your actions are met with repercussions. You donāt belong in the food service industry and in 35yrs traveling around the world, you are the WORST people I have encountered. And I mean, EVER. You should wake up ashamed of your actions and without employment⦠something I would never say lightly in this difficult time we live in. In a world that is already full of so much anxiety, youād hope to find a nice little place to relax and enjoy yourself. A place to grab a drink and food at 5pm before a visit to the space needle. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. A regrettable experience to say the least, with staff that clearly think they are better than the ātouristsā that visit. You decided the moment we walked in the door that you didnāt want us there and found a silly reason to kick us out⦠you then showed a horrendous action with assault, which had a knock on impact on our entire night, including us not even using our tickets to the space needle. Fully because of your decision to be NASTY humans. Your team should be welcoming of any patronage and I am embarrassed for you on the most basic level⦠and as for being assaulted after being asked back in to pay the bill⦠i should press charges and you shouldnt be allowed to work with the public. disgusting and uncalled for. shame to all of you. Absolutely the WORST experience Iāve ever had at any bar/restaurant/cafe. Disgusting.

The 5 Point Cafe in Seattle offers a unique blend of rock'n'roll ambiance and a dive-bar vibe, complete with a jukebox where patrons can play their music selections by inserting coins. This establishment stood out to me not only for its atmosphere but also for its specialized Bloody Mary menu, which offered the best Bloody Mary I've ever had. The walls of the bathroom are open for guests to leave their mark with messages, adding to the cafe's quirky charm, so bring your pen from home. My first visit to The 5 Point Cafe was in the afternoon. Initially, I experienced some disappointing service from a rather rude waiter inside the cafe, who complicated what should have been a simple request to move to an outside table. This was frustrating, particularly since the solution seemed straightforwardāclose out my indoor tab and open a new one outside. Despite this, I didn't contest his refusal and waited for an outdoor table to free up. Once outside, the atmosphere improved significantly thanks to a friendly and attentive waitress who provided excellent service. The outdoor setting was perfect for enjoying the barās standout Bloody Marys and a deliciously mac and cheese ball. Encouraged by the drinks and food and the overall vibe, I decided to return the same evening. The night started well with a warm welcome from a friendly host who seated us at the bar. However, as the evening air was cold, we decided to move to a more comfortable table away from the door. This decision seemed to irritate our waiter, who reacted poorly to our move. His demeanor was cold, and his service was minimal, which detracted from the experience. The food this time was a mixed bag; the burgers were merely okay, and the fries were disappointing. Nevertheless, the Bloody Marys continued to impress, even surpassing those from the afternoon in quality. Throughout the evening, the bar was quite cold, and the door remained open, adding an unnecessary chill. When it came time to settle our bill, the service concluded on a sour note. The waiter nearly threw our check on the table and implied that we should hurry up and leave due to others waiting for a table. Despite these service challenges, I still recommend The 5 Point Cafe for its fascinating decor, unique drinks, and the lively experience it offers. Future visitors should be prepared for potentially varied service levels and bring a warm jacket to combat the indoor chill. If you're patient and come prepared, The 5 Point Cafe is definitely worth a visit for a taste of local Seattle culture.

Diner food just as I like it. Dined Saturday morning, arrived around 9am and there was a line already. Our wait for a table was about 15 minutes. Outside dining, bar/counter and two sides of dining space, which was full (with wait/line outside). Ordered: Chicken Fried Steak Steak Omelette Okay (!)....first and foremost, be prepared for the HUGE servings! The moment our food was served, it was a free-for-all laughter and conversation starter from other diners from both sides of our table. They, and us, were dumbfounded at how much food there was! We could have shared the food with 2 other diners. So... TIP#1 - If you're ordering what we ordered, maybe share and just get add'l smaller side orders. Food and coffee was great. š Full house and very lively even for a breakfast crowd and, as I have mentioned, our side of the dining area probably added to the noise and laughter. Loved the ambiance, crowd, food and the service, specially, Jason, who was in charge of the lines outside on the day we dined. This diner is a Seattle icon having been there for yearssss. As such, the bathroom, though clean, had doors that is not wheelchair accessible....OR maybe, they had another one which I did not see. Otherwise, highly recommend!
