it was my first time at a halal guys - so i got what seemed to be their most popular option; a beef gyro and chicken combo platter it was highly disappointing

there really werent any positives to speak of - i guess the beef was just ok rather than actively bad. there was just also very little of it in the dish also the pita bread was pretty decent

The rice was too oily for me - it just didn't have any of the traditional flavor that saffron rice has. also, it just didn't mix well with the sauces. the hot sauce felt like it was trying to be spicy for the sake of it - and had that kind of spicy taste that makes you actively dislike the food. i was excited for the white sauce, but after mixing the bowl a bit i couldn't taste it at all in the food

the chicken was really bad. chunks of it were dry-as-a-bone, chewy, and just really difficult to get through. the only way i could get through this was convincing myself it was for the protein.

oh yeah, and they completely left out my olives that i asked for. great job all around Unless I end up at a cart in NYC, it's pretty unlikely i'll ever be coming back to a halal guys location portion size is at least ok

Overall, some not-appealing food that isn't worth the...

I recently visited the restaurant and wanted to share my experience. While I appreciated the variety of sauces, I found the chicken to be not very flavorful and somewhat disappointing. Unfortunately, I encountered a more serious issue when I found what I initially thought was not hair, but upon the second occurrence, I realized it was hair in my food. I could no longer ignore it and requested to speak with the manager. However, I was informed there was no manager available.

I then asked for a refund for my entire order, but ultimately left with just a cup of waters. A few days later, I noticed that I was still charged for it, which was quite frustrating. When I called customer service to clarify, they explained that I was charged for the water cups, even though it was supposed to be free as indicated inside store.

Overall, my experience was disappointing due to the quality of the food, the hygiene issues, and the poor customer service. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously to improve hygiene standards and customer support...

If I could I'd give this place a negative 5. There is serious fraud going on at this place. I have gone in thrice at this place and they have on all 3 occassions charged me for something else than I ordered, always charging me more and when asked they apologized and said it was a mistake. Discussed this with a friend who confirmed this has happened to him as well. If you go this place, watch out for what they bill you. This location is a scam and if this is a franchise location, the brand owners should seriously investigate what is going on here. Even after they correct your bill, they then try to give you something of a value lesser than what you have ordered. On my last instance, I caught them red handed at this and asked them to give me a receipt, which they initially refused, but after much haggling they finally had to...
