Chagrin Wine & Beverage Co — Restaurant in Shaker Heights

AVOID THIS PLACE. I had an awful experience here, which was sad because I grew up going here when it was under original ownership. There were no prices on any of the items from wine to snacks to bottles of water. When I inquired about this, the employee told me “it’s because the prices always change”. Odd, but okay. When the cashier was ringing me out, despite there being a screen for prices, it was blank. I asked, why are the prices not shown. He told me the price would be on the receipt AFTER I PAID. When I told him people do like to know prices for what they are buying, I was told “if you don’t like it, don’t shop here”. I told him that was fine and asked for a refund and was told he was not able to do refunds and I could “talk to the owner on Monday”. I’ve never shopped in a store like this. The lack of customer service was shocking. The individuals here simply do not care about their customers or conducting business in a proper manner. AVOID THIS PLACE! I’d give it zero...

I thought it was just me... today when I went into the store for the third time, I heard a man speaking to his wife saying. "They talk to you like you are dirty". Being newer to Shaker Heights (Cleveland) I'm still finding out where ships and such are. I will say that the worker's are not very friendly or helpful, and you tend to be rushed out of the store. Totally different than South Green (liquor) beverage store when Roe will give you suggestions on different types of beverages depending on what you are looking for and that it is that you currently like or...

This is the ONLY place I go and when I don’t I feel like I’m betraying Tim. Him and his staff are ALWAYS the best and Tim can recommend something great regardless of what you are looking for.
