We needed a NEW refrigerator for the last three weeks. Our first person we talked to about this matter was Connie the Appliances Specialist at the Shelby Twp Home Depot. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and tried to understand the problem we are dealing with from our Credit Union. We found out that someone cut the main line for all online banking for several Credit Union customers. We were one of those customers and it took sometime to get it fix. Then we tried several different things to see if we could save the top freezer refrigerator. Then we found out we could not save this unit and had to get a new one. When we visit the store early Monday morning we had a great salesperson Doug. We were looking at two different kinds of refrigerator but Doug said go home and measure everything. You don’t want to make the mistake that I did and have your wife tell you “ did you measure before purchasing this top freezer refrigerator.” So we came home and measured everything to make sure we find the right one. When we came back for the second time Connie was there and I told her the story what happened to us last time why we couldn’t get the refrigerator then. Now we have a refrigerator and we want to Thank you Connie and Doug for helping us out in getting the right one that fix’s in the area. So after I got the refrigerator paid for and to get it delivered to the home because it’s had for me to get this unit in my SUV, Home Depot is sending someone out to deliver it and put it in the house. It’s very hard for a person with one hand to put a refrigerator in the house. So I went to the paint department and ask Joyce a question. She was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable just like the other two. Joyce told me how old she was and I was surprised. I’m happy to see companies like Home Depot hiring older people because they work harder for the company better than the younger people. We are very happy, proud, that Home Depot of Shelby Twp has such great customer service employees. It really means a lot in today world because you will see a big difference then if you had the younger people helped us out. We just want to say “keep up the good work Shelby Twp Home Depot.” Today we called customer service because the delivery service from Home Depot did not put the refrigerator in the house because we paid for this service. So Home Depot in Shelby Twp and Customer Service were so happy to help us out. That’s what you call “keeping your customers “ happy. Thank you . Doug, Connie and the lady from Home Depot Customer service. Keep up the great work you do every day. Thank you again....
Read moreMy issue is with their delivery service. I ordered ALL my appliances before I moved in my new place 3 months ahead of time. The day of the delivery nobody showed up and nobody called! When I called them I was told just one item the microwave was on back order and that NONE of my appliances would be delivered because their policy is that the PO has to be shipped complete before it is sent out and that they did not know when it was to arrive. So you are holding my Refrig, Stove, Dishwasher, Washer & Dryer .... a $5K order for a microwave?...YES and no time as to when?...YES....I then canceled the microwave to get the order delivered so I could you know live with some appliances! Then I was told the LG Washer and Dryer was on back order. I said when will it get delivered? We don't know. Again the order is not being delivered. NO I"M NOT EMBELLISHING THIS! There's actually much more that I won't get into like LG back ordered my washer dyer again ....and AGAIN! Between using up vacation works I can't get back eating out because I didn't have appliances, Laundry mat service ect.. bottom line PLEASE DO NOT ORDER LG, and DO NOT order all your appliances unless your willing to live on Home Depots terms as to when they want to deliver your $5000 order!!! When I tried contacting someone at LG I was given a phony call back number...no apology...nothing! As for Home Depot they pass the blame to GE because GE controls ALL of their deliveries even if you're not ordering a GE product. If its LG, Samsung back orders you won't get your partial delivery. oh and as I'm writing this I'm still waiting for my credit which as been over 10 days so far. No apology, no compensation because its very simple.. When your kicking out more orders than you can handle screwing a random customer over is totally...
Read moreHad a pretty awful experience today with customer service in the appliance department. I asked the sales associate on floor if they would price match a refrigerator I was interested in buying. The sales associate replied and asked who the competitor was and what the price difference was. I told him what the price was and what the other store was and he replied "no we won't do that". I asked to speak with his manager to which he called over the phone and then spoke to him for 10 mins fumbling online trying to find the other retailer. It literally reads of the HD website: How the Low Price Guarantee works for in-store pre-purchases: If you find a current lower price on an identical, in-stock item from any other retailer, we will match the price. Just bring the ad, printout or photo with you to the register for validation. (This may involve the associate contacting the competitor). I had been shopping around and had a lower price on the fridge I wanted to buy from a local retailer. I even had the price in writing in an email. The sales associate did not want to acknowledge the email. Finally his manager came over and the sales associate had to regurgitate everything to him again. Another manager was called, and they were given direction to call the store and asking for the price over the phone. Do you think the other retailer will give their best price to HD over the phone when they have caller ID? NO! The over the phone price was the same as HD... so complete waste of 45 minutes. Long story short, I literally went to Lowe's last night and they were able to accommodate the same situation without issue....
