Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Shelby Charter Township

My boyfriend and I came in around 10pm Saturday evening and sat down at table 33. Jake was our waiter and provided the most exceptional customer service we have seen in quite some time. From his friendly personality to his infectious smile, his top priority was making sure we had the most amazing experience at Chili’s! He is so good at his job that he didn’t even need to write our order down on a notepad. Talk about memory skills at its finest! I called the restaurant two days later to speak with the manager and let them know how special our experience was and to give Jake the recognition he deserves. I had the pleasure of speaking with Eric the GM. Let me just say, Eric you are doing a phenomenal job displaying what it means to be a positive role model to your employees. To hear you jumped on the line to help cook when the evening rush came in shows true character of what a leader is and should be. I can definitely see why your business thrives because of your dedication and commitment to training your employees to make sure they treat the customers like family. My boyfriend and I haven’t been to a Chili’s in over 15 years and from this experience alone, we’re willing to drive an hour just to come to your restaurant and your restaurant only in the future. I have eaten here a limited amount. I stopped there yesterday and left a little disappointed. I don’t like leaving a review based on one experience but felt like if I came back the next week, my experience would probably not change a whole lot. We were pleasantly greeted and given a choice of where to sit. Our server was excellent at his job and very personable and showed up at just the right time. The only negative was him having to interject the F-bomb multiple times during our conversations. It seems every time I visit a Chili’s the menu and subsequent food choices keep becoming more limited while the prices keep going up. Regarding my actual menu. There was dried Salsa in a couple spots as well as some other dried food item stick to it. Most of the food was tasty. The chips and salsa they kept us supplied with was tasty! I ordered a combo platter of 1/2 ribs and 1/2 brisket fajita’s. The fajitas were tasty. The French fries of all things were exceptional! The ribs were terrible. I am not a picky eater but will say their ribs were almost inedible. They were somewhat tasteless and as dry as dry could be. There was very little meat but that could have been because they were so dry. I will NEVER order ribs from them again. That may not even come into play because when I consider the overall experience, there are MUCH, MUCH better restaurants around where I can get a dinner for 2 with no drinks and no appetizers for less than the...

We came in last week to celebrate a birthday in the family. I called earlier in the day to see what would be the best option, because we had seven people. I figured they didn't do reservations, which I confirmed on the phone. I asked if there was a website or an app that I could add my name to, to help make the wait time shorter if they were busy. I was told no. There were zero options. So I asked if the only way was to just show up and hope for the best. Was told yes. So that's what we did. Of course, when we got there, they were slammed, and we were told the wait was 25 minutes. After I stood there for nearly 40 minutes, waiting and staring at the sign that said "Skip the Line! Download our app!" I asked the hostess if the table was almost ready and expressed my frustration with the phone call I had earlier. She sat us a few moments later, and things got better from there.

Our server, Carter, was a polite young man. He was patient and took great care of us. The food took a little while to come out, which was expected because they were busy. My chicken was perfect, the triple dippers were delicious. My husband's burger was ok, not the greatest, but not awful. Carter kept our drinks full and checked on us often. He kept our cake in the cooler and brought it with plates and silverware after our meal. Overall, it was a great night out...
