Absolutely one of the worst restaurant experiences I had to endure. I had a very poor experience, not once, but twice First poor experience-I’ve been to the restaurant few times before the poor experience and didn’t have major problems, though I thought the service was poor , but nothing to report. I remember walking to the restaurant with my wife and had the server seat us . Few minutes and it might’ve been seconds we start feeling really cold. We come to realize there is a hole across from where we sat that was open to the outside. This was in the winter season, if your from Michigan , or up north you can imagine what that feels like. My wife was shivering ,but didn’t want to leave and hate the idea of my complaining, but I did anyways. I can remember how it was received exactly , but I can remember it wasn’t positive. Most recent experience was tonight actually around 8:00 PM we decided to grab some Sushi, I went with my wife and we both had our own individual wraps which we loved. We decided to try something different, an additional wrap, which we didn’t like. I talked to the waitress who was not attending to us from the start and I’m not going to get to that because it’s a differ t story . The waitress was not there form the start, he was not directly talking to us, he was doing other things while trying to take our orders, not to mention talking in foreign language with other waitress while we sanding there. So we tell him finaly that we don’t like it and it was okay to order something else, he said it is and he wasn’t going to charge us for the roll . He then told the Chef , which Is not the same person who mad our other two rolls. The chef came really strong with a mean look and attitude. The neighbors thought he was joking when he asked “ are you sure this is what you want “ in a very condensing manner. The neighbors tried to diffuse this by saying “ he is joking” to which the Chef replied, “ I am not joking “ twice. I felt awkward and didn’t know what I did wrong to deserve this type of behavior. I tried to ignore the situation and asked for a different role when I really felt offended when he asked “ are you sure this what you want “ more than once. I sat down in my chair boiling while he was making the roll and other orders until I decided I should not put up with it so I asked for the manager. I discussed my concerns which she seems to be professional about it for the most part and apologizing , but this quickly changed when she saw new customers and pushed me a side without giving direction for me to what to expect. I went back and sat on the table/stool. I then didn’t hear from anybody , so I decided to move to the front and asked for my bill. They did however remove everything I didn’t like from the bill . I think this place have a poor management as shown not only by the staff , but the management team . I’ve vowed to never come back again and go somewhere else. Luckily there is another Japanese stake house down the road called Ichiban, I’ve been there once before and they are okay . There is also another sushi place off Hall road, can...
Read moreWe used to frequent this place but stopped coming when they had issues with there sprinkler system randomly going off. Flashback years later when we were invited to a birthday celebration and the birthday celebrant made a huge mistake and picked this place. Having not gone for years, we thought things would have changed. We were wrong! We were a party of 14, we booked in advance and was told of their policy to have guest in the restaurant before we get to be seated. This was fine until we were only waiting on 2 guests and again asked if we can be seated and again was refused. Mind you this was on a Wednesday at 5pm and there were barely any people in the restaurant. But policy is policy so we just waited for our party to be complete and again asked for our table, and here starts the stupid thing, this is then the only time they prepared the table! so we had to wait for the tables to be ready. After the tables got finally ready, we put in our orders, appetizers and main entrees. The server gave us our appetizer (Edamame) spills one of the orders on the table, acknowledges it was her fault and left. We were expecting to get a replacement, but it never came! We looked at each other and thought, maybe they practiced the "5 second rule"! Shrimp on sushi was also obviously not recently made as the color was just pale and not crunchy. On to the sides, the Miso soup was called, the salad was soggy. It was very obvious the vegetables has sat for a long time. On to the Entrees. Vegetables were cold, some of us got our Entrees without rice, and some got only rice without the Entree meal! The meals also did not come out at the same time. Others had to wait for their order while the rest ate. When we had just enough of this nonsense, I asked for the manager and said we had a large order. (we were a party of 14, with one order each at most two) which was a moronic excuse but did say it did not justify the screw ups. He pretended to address the issue by going to the kitchen and never seen again. We brought cake in. When it was time for us to cut and serve it, they provided us with paper plates!(made us think if we were at Chuck E. Cheese! Most professional restaurants would rectify this issue by giving discounts for the inconvenience/s. The birthday celebrant's spouse paid the bill and was just cool about the whole thing, and did nobody checked the bill.(some orders did not even made it to the table!). So lesson learned. Not going back to this restaurant again. Best if you also stay away...
Read moreI wish I could give this place 0 stars. This place has gone extremely down hill in the past year. Last weekend I went in to enjoy a meal with my husband for our anniversary. We sat down we had the table to ourselves everything was going perfect like normal. They then sent a chef over to cook our food. Immediately at first I thought it was a joke. The chef named chow which was probably a fake name began to prepare our food. He never wiped the grill off like they normally do the many times we’ve came. He also put the chicken and steak and veggies in rice all In the same place on the grill. My initial thought was that this may have been his first time cooking because he had no idea how to use a knife or cut the chicken and filet properly. But he started cooking the food then 2 seconds later tossing it on our plate while using no pepper just a bunch of salt. The food was inedible and raw. I politely approached our waiter to ask if someone else could come cook the food for him because if not he might as well not waste anymore food. The manager then came over a young lady with blonde and brown hair to ask him to stop. She then told Us she would get another cook but it was close to the end of the night so no one could cook for us . So it’s Sunday night after 9pm now and we are sent out the restaurant starving after paying for our drinks and appetizers. There’s no other food places open my anniversary ruined. If you have a special occasion stay far away from this place they also sent every employee out the back to look at us as if we did something wrong. Maybe we should have eaten the food and got sick I’m not sure. But I’ve never been treated so disgustingly. You already look past the dirt on the walls and interior of the building I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like if they’re hiring ppl like Chow. Will not be returning it’s the 2nd time we received a bad chef first time we paid the food was still edible this time we would of gotten sick for the food he was trying to prepare for us. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU DONT WANT TO RISK...
