When you first walk in, you're welcomed with a cozy, modern, casual, dining room with ample seating at booths and tables.
We stumbled upon First Watch accidentally while looking for another place that ended up being out of business. When we walked up to the door, we realized that we arrived 10 minutes before closing. Ugh, I hate doing that.
When we asked if we were too late, the server told us the kitchen was closing soon so we had to order quickly.
We started with an order of million-dollar bacon, which was four strips of thick-cut smoked bacon, baked with brown sugar, pepper, and cayenne, drizzled with maple syrup. Ours were garnished with chopped chives.
I ordered their BLTE: bacon, lettuce, tomato, and a fried egg served on nice whole grain bread. The sandwich was delicious, but several bites in, I realized that there was no bacon! I was offered a new sandwich, but instead, I elected for a side dish of crispy bacon so that I could fix it! The sandwich was delicious with, and without the bacon!
My wife ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes. They gave her two huge multigrain buttermilk pancakes and warm maple syrup. The ricotta cheese was a sweet compliment to the delicious pancakes!

Looked around and saw 2 parties of people. 40 min later I went to the desk and was informed we were next on the list and that other people had signed in online earlier and therefore they could check in anytime and get moved to the front of the line. Apparently several decided to check in while we were waiting. Nowhere on the building did it say to check in online and we were not informed of this when we put our name on the list (neither were any of the other people trying to get a seat). When the hostess did finally explain this after waiting 40 min she said 'sorry Im not the normal hostess so I didnt tell people that'. Food was fairly good. Wait service was excellent (waitress got a good tip). However customer service from management was lacking. Best we got was a 'sorry for today' after I paid the bill while not even looking at me because she was too busy trying to squeeze in a single man so he didnt have to wait. She gladly gave us some coffee and apologized for the inconvenience! Our food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. As usual we enjoyed every bite. I have never experienced such a lack of acknowledgement from anyone else who had ever waited on us. It was disappointing to experience such a disregard as a customer. He should definitely be retrained and learn how to prioritize his steps to ensure he keeps up with the standard of service that customers have come to expect. Just a suggestion! Corinne ended up having to take care of us as well as her own entire section of tablesā¦because she has served us whenever we dined with First Watch!
