I eat Panera Bread almost every day. I have a particular diet and my favorite meal is on their menu. I try to avoid coming to this location because their service is always slow but mostly its because the staff for the most part usually has attitude. I feel like Im walking on egg shells with these people. Its like the "Soup Nazi" from the show, "Sienfield" lol. "No Soup For You!" They recently came up with a new rule of thumb that if you dont ask for extra sides.. For example: Feta, or Olives, ext. at the speaker when you first order... Forget trying to correct that mistake at the window.. They are now officially not allowed to give you extras at the window. Even if you are more than willing to pay an insane extra amount for making that little boo boo they will not budge. Fyi: In which before they made this new rule they did penalize you by making you pay like $2 to $4 for extras.. Depending on who you got at the window. Sometimes I would be handed extras without even paying anything but if you go on their website to order delivery they tell you how much they would charge for extras and its some where in cents catagory. Not dollars.. and Note: No.. They were not handing me any where near dollars worth of extra sides. For example: I would be handed 4 olives and a about 3 pinches of feta. Yes, they know me there not because I ever complained or gave attitude back.. Nope its because I simply annoy them with my very simple order and willingness to pay whatever it takes to have them go out of their way to get whatever I need. I honestly believe Im an inconvinience... Alot of times they would give me less than half the amount of salad they usually give. I could see the bottom of the box, it was so bare. I know they dont want me to come back but unfortuenantly its sometimes my only option. I hope for the best every time I go back. Pray that...
Read moreI don’t visit this Panera often! Usually when I do service is usually great!
This time, my drive thru experience wasn’t great at all. It’s taken me a few months to write this review as I wanted to give it time. Thinking maybe I was over sensitive to my experience.
The more I pondered about my experience, I felt the need to share my feedback.
Trisha could have been having a bad morning, but regardless she needs an attitude adjustment.
I get it was early and a holiday weekend, but staff and plan accordingly so she isn’t working on a holiday.
I placed my order at the drive thru, which I sat for longer than I should have to place my order. I almost thought they were closed. The female (Trisha) takes my order, which I plainly order 2 plain tubs of cream. At the window, she hands me my order and receipt.
I check the receipt and the bag, she has rung up 2 tubs of honey walnut cream cheese. I told her that was not what I ordered, she proceeded to tell me they were out of plain cream cheese.
I asked why didn’t she tell me that when I place my order instead of trying to sneak it in my bag hoping I would not check my order.
She rudely said, “Do I want the cream cheese or not?” It’s the holiday weekend and I wasn’t the only person who has ordered bagels and plain cream cheese!!!”
Really!!!!! Customer Service has really changed and I don’t have the bandwidth to argue with a non-customer service oriented employee.
I will take my business elsewhere, where my order is correct and my...
Read moreWe arrived late in the evening for a quick takeout. In perusing the menu to determine a safe GF entree, apparently I took too long. The 20something behind the counter walked away and rudely said she’d come back when I’d made up my mind. I told her I needed to be careful choosing and her response was “we have nothing GF”. Well, this isn’t true in the first place as salads by definition are Gf. By leaving the counter, she actively chose not to help make it easier. So ignorance and rudeness and unkindness are the operative words to describe service at this randomly chosen Panera. . It should never have happened. Panera could do the decent thing and LABEL THEIR MENU. IF THEY CAN IDENTIFY VEGAN THEY CAN IDENTIFY GF. Two weeks ago at a different Panera in Grand Rapids when we were there as out of town visitors, our take away was the complete wrong entrees and sides, gluten included despite carefully ordering as important GF. So, no dinner that evening for the 3hr drive home. When we asked next day for the mgr to remove our charge since his employee screwed up simply pushing buttons on the computer, he refused, but gave us free coupons for his place when we choose to drive three hours back. As if I ever would want to! These two really poor experiences in as many weeks in randomly chosen locations speaks to what Panera has become. DONE...
