Worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant, ever. I’m talking about the service itself more than anything, and one particular jerk that I didn’t care to get the name of. First off, I called and ordered 2 chicken shawarma sandwiches and ONE side of fries. Pretty simple, right? This was my first time ordering from here, but I’ve had chicken shawarma from other places so I knew how to order a chicken shawarma sandwhich.. not that hard.. As soon as I said we wanted fries with ONE of the sandwiches, the dude on the phone asked me if we wanted a salad or soup as well with that. (Word by word) I replied: “Oh. It comes with a soup or salad too? I guess a salad. Thanks!” (here I am thinking they are offering some sort of combo deal for the chicken shawarma sandwhich + fries.) I asked him what all comes on the shawarma just to make sure it’s chicken, pickles and garlic sauce only. He confirmed that’s all that’s on the sandwhich. I said “ok, great.” He then informed me it will take 15 minutes to be ready, and I said “okay! Thank you.” hangs up the phone
I get there to pick up my food 15 mins later and I was told that my total is a whopping $38. I was flabbergasted. Immediately, I knew something was wrong or miscommunicated. I said “$38? There’s absolutely no way. $38 for 2 chicken shawarma sandwiches and a side of fries?!” All of them were confused as to what I ordered, and couldn’t even really tell me what got messed up. I think they were trying to say that they had 3 meals on there. I said “No, no. Just 2 chicken shawarmas and a side of fries. That’s all. Pretty simple???”. He then took something off the bill (still not even clear what he took off..) and the total went down to $30. Still I’m sitting here thinking, WTF? $30 is still crazy. But whatever… I pay, and walk out with my food.
I get in the car and I open up 1 chicken shawarma sandwhich, and a big box filled with a bunch of grilled chicken, with fries on the side. A side salad and a few pieces of pita bread. I was anticipating my TWO sandwhiches with a side of fries. I realized what happened now. They charged me for a dinner. That’s not what I asked for at all when I originally called. I then called them from the parking lot and explained, AGAIN.
The younger kid on the phone said he was not the one to take my order originally. I asked him for the prices of everything individually and he told me the prices for my items- 7$ and some change each sandwhich and like 4$ for fries. Do the math, that should have been like 20 bucks give or take. So I got overcharged ($30) and didn’t get what I wanted.
I asked for a refund, he told me they cannot refund me. He told me they will just go ahead and make me another sandwhich and fries. I said okay, whatever. I give it 5 minutes, and I go back in for a second time and quietly wait at the counter. There was some dude standing at the counter with his arms crossed smirking with a smug look. He asked me “so what did you order?” I’m like OMG I’m having to explain again? This is crazy. This is the 3rd time now. Basically we ended up arguing. I told him he should do a better job in making sure what the customer is ordering and not just assume they want a dinner plate. Especially when I LITERALLY SAID CHICKEN SHAWARMA SANDWHICHES. I said you also did not even inform me of the total of my order on the phone, so I didn’t know we had a miscommunication till I came inside here. It ended in him LYING: “I did tell you your total on the phone by the way.” I said 😳😳😳 no, you did NOT sir. If you had said $38 for 2 sandwiches, I would have immediately knew there was something wrong right then and there. There was no total given at the end of our first call. Even my friend in the car heard everything on speaker. Literally a s* show. He told me I’m lying about that and “whatever makes you happy.” Along with the old lady hostess telling me it’s okay to be wrong 😑. I cannot believe this happened and I cannot believe their awful attitude. Maybe language barrier problem? Totally unacceptable to call a customer a liar esp. when...
Read moreSo disappointed with my service a few days ago. I highly recommended Lebanese Grill to two coworkers, one of whom had never tried Lebanese food. I have been coming here for ten years so I talked this place up. Our waitress was very rude. She messed up our order twice, apologized the first time but not the second, and became ruder to us the longer we were there. The first mistake was bringing a soup instead of a salad, and when we informed her of the mistake she took the soup back instead of just leaving it. Not a big deal except she could have just left it since they can’t serve it again. Then for a veggie combo that I asked to be brought out as a appetizer (and was brought out after our dinner) she gave us rice instead of fries. Again, not a biggie, but when we asked for fries she seemed upset and almost took the whole platter away! I get we didn’t order the rice but come on, we have been waiting for the plate and I’m sure you can write off the rice since you can’t reserve it. (On a side note, not I am concerned that they DO re-serve food which is disgusting to me. We could have done whatever we wanted to the food while it was in the table.) She hardly checked on us at all. When she gave us our bills my coworker asked for an extra side of garlic sauce to take home. She TOOK OUR BILLS BACK to add that garlic sauce to her bill. We had gotten nothing comped or discounted for the earlier mistakes (which I wasn’t expecting) but to charge for that garlic sauce which was provided for free earlier was very insulting. Then at the end when she brought the bills back she slapped them on the table and said “have a good day” while walking away quickly. To top it off, my food rookie coworker’s chicken shawarma sandwich wasn’t even very good.
Why didn’t we say something to management while we were there? Mostly because we felt so uncomfortable since every time we asked for something the waitress would walk back to the coworkers and they would very obviously start talking about us. We analyzed our own behavior the next day to see if at any point we were being rude or anything and there was nothing I believe we did to warrant the attitude we got. Two of us have been servers so we know what a bad customer is like. We were not bad customers. It was actually embarrassing that I had bragged about this place and had such a bad time. My coworkers told me they would never go there again. I don’t think I will either. There are plenty of other Lebanese restaurants in the area. I won’t go to one that obviously doesn’t want...
Read moreTheir food is delicious and very high quality. Me and my husband love eating here. But the 2 stars is for their service. We have used a coupon twice at this location and both times the staff has been rude as soon as I state I have a coupon. Today I used an entertainment book coupon and took a screen shot of it because when the screen goes dark on your phone the coupon sometimes disappears and I dont know how to re find it. Once I told the staff I had a coupon she got an attitude. I showed her the coupon and she stated they do not accept screen shots and it must be on the actual site, even though the screen shot had all of the same information on it. I went to my account and it would not show the coupon just the transaction history that stated I bought the coupon and it was valid. She finally said she would accept it this time but not again. She was extremely rude. Chances are they lost our business for good since both times we have used a coupon they get rude and an attitude. Not the type of...
