Momma B's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Shelby Charter Township

My partner and I found Momma B's via Happy Cow, and what an excellent discovery! We got the vegan garlic knots and a square vegan pizza with garlic, mushrooms, vegan pepperoni, French onions, and arugula. The knots were to die for! It is difficult to find a place that doesn't skimp on vegan options, so we were pleased that there was vegan parmesan on the knots. The pizza was also delicious, however I would have loved it more if it had less French onions and more arugula. There was just a little bit of arugula - maybe a couple wisps per slice. I would have liked more generous arugula so I could experience that fresh, crisp bite that arugula adds to pizza. I would like to try Momma B's again next time I'm in the area! Next time, I'll ask for extra arugula and I'll try the thin crust. And definitely 2...

Ordered a large pepperoni & cheese pizza and garlic knots on 02/28/19. The staff, especially “Momma B” we’re all friendly and reminded me of the pizza spots that I grew up eating at. The best way to describe it is that this is the anti-chain pizza. The sauce is cooked over a stove as opposed to opened by a can opener & the cheese is grated. We had the regular crust which is similar to a NY style and the generous portions of pepperoni “cupped” like old style NY pizza. The sauce was flavorful without being too overpowering and the cheese was a good grade mozzarella. The garlic knots were a bit chewy but my kids ate them without any complaints. The personal chocolate cream pie was delicious and a must try. Overall, it’s great that a family run pizza joint is in the neighborhood and we will put them in our rotation...

This is a great local pizza place, everyone there is so friendly and you can tell they really take pride in what they do! This is the only place my kids want pizza from. I think the pizza and bread are a bit too greasy, but with excellent flavors. It must just be me though, because the kids love it and everyone always raves about it when we order it for parties, no one else has ever complained about the grease. The wraps are amazing, they taste fresh and the wrap bread is puffy and soft. The salads are the best I've had from any pizza place, loaded with fresh ingredients, not just a bunch of lettuce, and the dressings are great. The homemade desserts are heavenly, the chocolate chip cookie bars are my favorite! The prices are more than chain pizza places, but you pay extra for the quality, fresh ingredients...
