Verona's Of East Dixon Blvd — Restaurant in Shelby

☹️This restaurant is a hit or miss. Either they're going to get your order correct and it'll be wonderful or they're going to do it totally wrong and only give you 25% off your next order ( this is after me going back and forth with the kitchen ) or I could have had my 81-year-old dad to go back and pick up the redo order. I'm in the rehab facility down the road from them because of drunk driver hit me head on and they don't deliver out to The Cleveland Pines. It's not that far away (3.8 miles) I do like their meat sauce and I do like their Greek dressing but either you'll get what you ask for and it'll be perfect or you get totally something different and they barely want to fix it. I asked for angel hair with extra meat sauce and extra mushrooms I got instead spaghetti with barely any sauce and a couple of mushrooms. The side salads look so dinky that is not even worth getting it. Friday night crew did a hell of a better job then the Saturday day crew. I'll start by being a devil's advocate: it was a Friday night. Those are notoriously hectic for restaurants. My family would also be willing to try the other dishes that aren't pizza. However, that's kind of where it stops. We did a call in and my husband went to pick up. He got there and was greeted by someone on the register whose immediate response was, "Oh, I love this one." Basically, picking fun at folks who called the showed up at the wrong Verona for food pick up. This was not the case, as he read back their correct number. So, where was the food? It hadn't been put in and the register person didn't know how to use it and people just kept working around her. After about 10 minutes of people running around and the register lady asking what he ordered... again. A man peaked out and said the order was there. So, we did get our order. Cool. UPDATE May 13: Since there was an issue ordering online last time, I called to order this time. On my way to work, I ordered a Large calzone with pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, and onions with Parmesan cheese on top and repeated it three times to the girl on the phone yet I still got the wrong food. Instead, I got a small meat calzone and guess what…no Parmesan. I hate to complain but this is my favorite restaurant in town and used to be always on point but since the move it has been hit or miss and that’s a disappointment. I did eat the calzone and it was good but it wasn’t what I ordered and I’m at work for the next 12 hours
