The quality of the food at both of the Gainesville Sonic locations has really declined recently. I'm not sure if it's new owners/managers or what the issue is. I can always count on the fries being cold and the burgers being made wrong. Request mustard on a chili cheese dog, and they will drown it with mustard. Getting condiments, mints and napkins have been hit and miss. And when they had the corn dog special last week (which went up from 50 cents to a dollar each), they were completely out of mustard. How do you run out of mustard, especially on that day. The Sonic locations in the surrounding towns don't seem to have these issues, so it's not an issue with the chain. It started with the location on California Street. It got so bad we stopped going there. Now the problem has spread to the Grand Avenue location. Oh, and if you use the app and you tip, just select the option to "keep the change", which just rounds up your total to the next whole dollar. If you select "no tip", and then just give them a few dollars in cash, you can be sure you'll be missing napkins, condiments, mints or something. So save a few dollars and get better service by just tipping the few...

We are waited for over 10 minutes and our food had still not been delivered, so we pressed the button to check on it. We sat with the red button activated for over 5 minutes and no one spoke to us so we pressed the button again and after another 3 minutes someone finally spoke to us. We told her our issue and stall number, we tried to explain and she got very rude saying she was checking on it. She said our order would be out in a few minutes because they had it sitting on the counter the whole time. By the time we got our food it was already cold and our sauce was missing. We have had previous bad experiences at this Sonic with taking forever even though there is less than 5 cars in the stalls, just like this time. I recommend driving the distance to another Sonic if thatās what youāre craving or just going to a nearby place instead. They didn't give the dasher our $8 milkshake and our large order of cheese sticks are so over cooked they are extremely dark and hard and when we broke each of them open there was no cheese inside of any of them. I called and talked to the manager and all he'd say was we have to take it up with Door dash, no man, I'm taking it up with you bub because y'all were the ones who cooked our order, right? He wouldn't take responsibility and say let me make this right with y'all instead when I had enough of his excuses and called him out he hung up on me.
