I used to love shopping at this store (from Maine to Texas), but i let my guard down in Sherman and expected it was still an ethical company! Silly me. While i got some great books for my school library, i did **NOT** get the deals i expected. I bought from the various bins of buy-2- get- one- free and then found out, AFTER i left, that the three books from young adult... at 5 bux... were the free ones. CAVEAT EMPTOR: i would have done separate orders and taken triple the time at the register if I knew the ways the book's were in genre bins did not reflect the but2 get1 deal. Instead of saving 40 dollars, i saved less than 15. Ah well, a few less books for my at- risk students. Shame on you for alse advertising and not showing bins of like priced books didn't matter Shame on me for not catching it and expecting the quality company where i used to shop.

I used to come in here all the time. Now the back of the store is mostly toys. The history section clearly ment to keep ww2 husbands busy while women shop. Horror is basically nonexistent. They have every other mythology under fiction, which seems pretty rude to me, considering 80% of the store is just bibles and bible paraphernalia. Although, there's a tiny section for philosophy and esoteric stuff. Speaking of which, a table with bible study stuff on it has Priest laying there with them, which is a pecattiphilla themed romanace novel. Comical. The bathroom have been gross the last two times I visited. Staff are nice at least. This place is not what it was was 15 years ago.

Great and large bookstore located in a hub of stores, Books-A-Million amis one with the locals, and has an approachable atmosphere. They had a selection of lots of books, and as an enjoyer of Manga, it was good to see sequential numbers (1-9) in order for some series, such as Choujin X, and a recent favorite, Miss Savage Fang (with 3 appearing here and not at Barnes and Noble)! They also had some Jems like sushi boat, and box sets of Solo Leveling Omnibus. Great selection. Truly a One-in-a-Million place, and made even better by the staff!

everything was fine until the end at the register when things became a mess. first of all the cashier did NOTHING wrong. this is about upper management and the things they make the employees do.

They offered me to sign up for a magazine subscription trial. They did not tell me that they will take my card information. it was explained as just a 2 month trial and they'll email me if i choose to renew. instead of that they sign me up and take my card information without consent and i had to read the fine print to notice what happened. when i wanted to cancel since i wasnt informed that my card information was taken. i was told i had to wait 2 weeks to call back to cancel. so now this company has my card info for 2 weeks without my permission. THIS IS THEFT

This type of underhanded tactics put your employees in a bad place and worst case scenario PUTS THEIR SAFETY in jeopardy if this situation happened to someone crazy. you're making your employees take peoples card information without properly explaining what they're doing. CHANGE THIS POLICY ASAP STOP UPSELLING SO MANY THINGS AND CONFUSING PEOPLE WITH SALE SCRIPTS

I didn't cause any sort of a scene because it's upper managements fault for making that poor employee have to do these...

Had my 13 year old daughter call up new years eve to make sure they were open. She was excited so we drove 35 min up so she could grab a book. She looked for a few min and we went up to ask the girls working if they could look it up. One of the employees was making fun of a lady that just called to see if they were open. Both of the employees up front were just making fun of this lady. One of the employees said " well duh I answered the phone didn't I". I didn't really pay attention to them after that. I asked about the book and we went and found it. As we were checking out my daughter said " you know they were making fun of me". So when the employee asked if I wanted to join the club, i said NO way. Wont be going...
