The children were excited when they saw Crumbl Cookies, but my husband and I were unfamiliar with the brand, having not seen it in Vancouver before. The children informed us that this brand provides large, soft texture sugar cookies in many trendy flavors.
Upon entering the shop, we found the store very clean. They displayed seven large size cookies, five mini size cookies, and a cookie cutter. I struggled to purchase the cookie cutter but eventually decided not to, which i did not regret.
Ultimately, we chose a box of four cookies, which were packed in a cute pink box, perfect for parties and gatherings with friends. When we tried the cookies later in our hotel room, we found them to be extremely sweet, and the flavors were indistinguishable, possibly due to our inexperience with sugar cookies.
Despite finding the cookies too sweet for our taste, we appreciated the shop's cleanliness and loved the cute packaging for the cookies. While the shop had a limited selection, we believe that Crumbl Cookies is a great treat to share with friends or bring...
Read moreThe cookies are always gorgeous—presentation has never been a problem. But the ungodly amount of sugar in each cookie is. Why do you have to put two cups of sugar in each cookie??? They’d be way better if even a quarter of the sugar was reduced in the recipe. 1,200 calories for a cookie is insane, not to mention the saturated fats and added sugar content (almost 80 g sugar in a cookie… double the daily limit). I know there’s a serving size for these cookies but when you think of eating a cookie, you don’t think to ration it out to only have a bite or two. These need a health warning or something because the nutritional value is terrible. Enough of my rant on the nutrition, when I heated my cookie up for just 10 seconds, it turned doughy and soft—almost like kinetic sand—and the frosting disintegrated and I could literally feel the sugar granules when eating it. These cookies have barely any flavor, it’s all sugar and flour to make a weird, cakey cookie. PLEASE reduce the sugar and try to make these just a little bit...
Read moreI honestly don't understand these high ratings. I have always had mid to terrible customer service every time I visit. Cookie presentation and taste has been mostly good. I sometimes receive a very quiet welcome from just one employee when I enter. The rest of the employees on the floor avoid talking to and interacting with the customers at all costs. It is always a very uncomfortable interaction with the employee taking my order and the rest of the staff avoiding me. I've worked customer service and food service jobs all my life and the regular lack of employee engagement with its customers is just uncomfortable. Also, during my last visit I placed an online order (2 days in advance) and I still had to wait 15 minutes for the employee to put my order together. What's the point of ordering ahead with a pick time? I really try to never write a bad review somewhere (people have bad days, stuff happens), but this last interaction I had I am still frustrated by...
