I finally made it to this place after bookmarking it as one of the places I wanted to visit and this day finally arrived. I'm glad I stopped by because it was well worth it.
I was driving through the area and decided to grab a bite to eat because frankly I was too tired to go home and cook a meal. I had decided on another place but remembered about Didi's. I gave them a call to check and see if they were opened and the lady said they were. A few minutes later I arrived.
I was greeted very warmly and with a friendly smile by the lady behind the counter. I had my heart set on their Kafta Kabob Entree and to my surprise you can get either all beef or chicken or half/half so I went with the latter. In addition I also grabbed a baklava both pistachio and walnut.
The beef kafta was delicious. Perfectly blended spices, not too overpowering and you can still taste the flavor of the beef. The chicken was the same- perfectly blended spices and both meats were moist and not dry. The rice was fluffy and the salad complimented the entire dish. I also forgot I grabbed a pita on the side. Their pita has a chewy texture, not dry like some places-something that I'm not quite used to but nonetheless delicious. I even shared some with my dog who loves to eat bread like myself.
As for the balklava- delicious complimentary desert to my dinner. Not too sweet, layers are crispy and the flavor of the walnut and pistachio is just right.
I had the pleasure of meeting the cook who is probably the owner as well. Very nice and humble person. I didn't get his name but perhaps on my next visit I can reintroduce myself. Their location is in a perfect spot next to Starbucks and there is plenty of parking. There's even outdoor seating as well with a nice picket fence to safely keep the kids or even pets inside. I have finally found my goto Mediterranean food place in Sherwood. I will be coming back again soon and hopefully others will as well. Can't wait to try their other offerings...

Listen. I don’t know what kind of magical Mediterranean fairy dust they’re sprinkling over the food at Didi’s Café in Sherwood, but I’m OBSESSED. I’ve only known about this place for a short time, and I’ve already been there at least three times. If that’s not true love, I don’t know what is.
Let’s talk about the Greek fries. These are not just fries they’re crispy, golden, feta sprinkled miracles. I’m from L.A. where food is serious business, so when I say these are the best Greek fries I’ve ever had, I mean it with every fiber of my tastebuds.
Today, I branched out and tried the Chicken Kafta Kabob Entrée and let me tell you… I saw stars. Literal stars. This is hands down the best chicken kafta kabob in all of Oregon. FIGHT ME. (No, don’t fight me, just go try it.)
My son had the chicken shawarma wrap and the look on his face said, “Thank you, Mother, for this blessed gift.” he devoured it.
Oh, and don’t even get me started on the Turkish coffee. I’ve had it before and I crave it like a caffeinated love affair. Honestly, I wish they opened earlier just so I could roll in and start my day right with a cup of that strong goodness.
Desserts? Don’t test me. The baklava? Flaky and sweet perfection. The pistachio rose cake? OH MY GOD. I did not want to share it. It’s like biting into a cloud made of flowers and dreams. You can actually taste the ROSES!
Every time I’m at Didi’s, I let the fat girl in me LIVE. No shame. Zero regrets. Just vibes and flavor.
I’ll be back. Again and again and again.

Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Didi’s Cafe, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for what was to come. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations that did not disappoint.
The food was nothing short of phenomenal. Every dish was bursting with authentic Mediterranean flavors and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The hummus was silky smooth and perfectly seasoned, the falafel was crispy on the outside and tender inside, and the shawarma was packed with rich, savory goodness. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, and everything was beautifully presented.
To top it all off, the baklava and Dubai chocolates were the perfect way to end the meal—flaky, sweet, and absolutely delicious. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Mediterranean cuisine or trying it for the first time, Didi’s Cafe is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming...
