I'm in the Sierra Vista area for the next three months, most of which will be reviewing local restaurants. Quite frankly, I usually avoid franchise eateries due to the lack of quality. But I want to get a wider spectrum of reviews, so... Chili's it is.
First impression.. a young lady cheerfully opens the front door for me. The Host suggests the Bar area to me, but I want nothing to do with the bar. He seats me at a table for two that is kind of wedged in against an inner half-wall.
I sit there for a little over ten minutes.. and nothing. (the place was not very busy) So I walk up to the Host station and ask if I would get some attention if I sat in the bar area? He says no, and that he would let my waitress know. Another five minutes rolls by and my waitress, Jeanette comes by. Possibly in her defense, she was working a 6-top and a 10-top pair of tables.
I ask her which she would choose between the Ribs/Chicken Tenders meal, or the Chicken and Shrimp Pasta. She recommended the former, and told me that if I was not pleased, she would change it. Only 6-7 minutes later, the food arrived and she told me that she would give me enough time to try a few bites and would check back.
++ Well now, Kudos to the Kitchen who were on their game! The food was piping hot and delicious.. far more so than I expected. Only two minor issues was that the Ranch dipping sauce was way too watered down, and the corn on the cob was over-cooked (but tasty). So.. Five Stars for Food Quality.
++ A quick visit to the Men's room was somewhat repulsive.. it was Nasty! In dire need of a thorough cleaning ++
++ Back to my table, more than 30 minutes, and having finished my meal before Jeanette ever checked in on me, and my meal. I did let her know that it was Not OK to just forget a customer! Still tipped her 20%.. not sure why?
So, in summary.. 5-Stars for the Food, 1 for Service, 1 for cleanliness, and 2 for atmosphere (two tables with loud kids). I arrived with a positive attitude, and left somewhat angry.
Added 4/30/2025.. I had to add this as it it's almost Funny! If you note the "Response from the Owner". he/she states to: Please reach out to us at Chilis.com/frequently-asked-questions. LOL ! I did, and their response was to bring it to the store manager's attention !! So, is essence, no accountability. No matter, no intention...
Read moreI just left with my family and got the ribeye with broccoli and shrimp. I asked for a medium rare and it was hardly pink but the waitress told me to cut it in front of her which kinda made me feel weird and the shrimp wasn’t seared at all, very soft and mushy, no taste the to the loaded mash, and I asked out waitress to heat up the food since the shrimp and mash was not as warm, she reluctantly took my plate and when she came up she said “okay good okay” some thing like that and was not attentive at all, basically just gave me my plate and ran off, only to see that my medium rare hardly pink steak is now overcooked, 😔🤦🏻♀️ I didn’t feel like calling to her again because I didn’t wanna seem rude and she was basically kinda over us it seemed. and she never came to our table again, never filled our drinks, in fact the lady that came with our food gave us refills and not our assigned waitress. And to top that; an older waiter, lots of tattoos and piercings, I believe he was bald, loudly said “ugh now we have to sing happy birthday to a 50 yr old” as if that’s such an inconvenience and me and my table were very unfortunate to hear that and a little disturbed to hear this as it was near the employee area where they come and go with food. It’s also too cold in there and most of the booths cushions are very uncomfortable to sit on. I used to love coming here with my boyfriend sometimes to get food, but honestly I’m thinking of other places to dine instead since I ordered this last time and was great, I’m a little disappointed with the lack of...
Read moreFirst problem was my mother daughter and I walked in after lunch rush. The hostes asked if we would like a high top table or a bench. I asked for a bench please. She responded that we would have to wait for a while as the waitress was overwhelmed. I'm sorry mam but she had two other tables. I also maybe saw her twice in the inexcusable amount of time it took to be seated. There was a line out the door by the time we were seated. We arrived at our bench, it took 10 minutes to put in our drink order, that consisted of three waters, all brought out by a woman who was not our waitress. Another 20 minutes I am paying attention to time at this point, finally put in food orders again with another waitress. Food was out in around another 10 minutes. My mother's sliders were RAW I mean so raw it was cold in the middle. She sent it back I told her to dump salt on it to make sure it was made fresh, she did not so when it arrived back at our table it was burn beyond recognition. I am sure they just reheated the slider itself. Then we see "our" waitress who proceed to stand over us as we were paying and give my mother a look even she left a small tip. In my opinion she didn't deserve a tip at all she didn't wait on us. Her name was Cait I believe. I will never go back and I will share my experience with...
