UPDATE 3/22/22 The food was made well and made correctly. The staff were friendly and attentive. An employee held the door for us. 2 different employees offered to take our trash from the table. Another asked if the food was good, on her way by. The dining area was mostly clean, definitely cleaner than most fast food places in the area. The prices are a tad higher than some fast food places and the drive thru is always busy but they are well staffed and the food is always made well. The dining area was not crowded and they have outdoor seating as well. I often recommend Culver's to travelers that pass through my job, because I trust this location.
ORIGINAL REVIEW Culver's in Sierra Vista is a place we trust for cleanliness, quality and customer service. On this trip we got a Crispy Chicken Sandwich with fries and a sweet tea, a spicy crispy chicken sandwich with onion rings and a soda, plus an order of cheese curds. You can't go wrong with cheese curds they're always delicious. I ordered my crispy chicken with mayo and pickle only which they got correct. I would have liked a little more mayo or atleast to have it on both sides but this is a minor issue. The chicken is ok, it has some flavor and is a reasonable thickness but I've definitely tasted better at other fast food chains. My husband felt mostly the same about his sandwich especially that it was quite dry. The onion rings were good, I liked the flavor and that they use thin slices of onion in them. The drinks were as would be expected nothing much to report there. The gal who greeted us via speaker in the drive through sounded professional and friendly. The gal at the window (not sure if same person) was also friendly. They had us pull forward and it took a reasonable amount of time, nothing excessive. The guy who brought our food to the vehicle was polite as well. We...
Read moreOf all the fast food restaurants, none of which are very good for your health, Culver's is perhaps the best in terms of both food and service. We typically use the drive-up and without fail we are greeted over the speaker by a pleasant, professional, and happy sounding voice saying, "What can I make fresh for you today"?
Culver's hires good people that they undoubtedly screen and then train to a high standard. They are also focused on providing good food in sturdy to-go containers of the type you could take home wash and reuse. The best way to describe it is this is good restaurant food that is delivered fast, not fast-food per se.
All of that said, this is mostly fried cuisine and other offerings, the main ingredient of which is lard. After all they advertise themselves as purveyors of "Butter Burgers and Custard". So like the other fast food places if you want to slowly kill yourself with heart disease & colon cancer you can get a good start on that here if you overindulge.
For us this is a once-a-month treat, ok ... maybe twice. We get a small custard Sunday and sometimes the fried shrimp or fried fish plate. I think they also have salad. So you don't need to have "Butter Burgers" necessarily.
Overall each time we go here I wonder why other major restaurant chains can't train their people and deliver better food with better service? I think the answer is that they don't care because they know they don't have to.
Culver's doesn't have to but the family that still owns this Wisconsin chain that obviously has a little more pride than the corporate drones at places like McDonald's and Kentucky Fried Chicken, which we stopped going...
Read moreWell after coming to The Sierra Vista Arizona location… at least once a week for my families meals.. I bet I spend close to 150$ dollars a month on fast food that is crazy… but i love the fish and burgers. And the workers are pretty nice.. after spending around $73 for our dinners… cod was so fried i couldnt even eat it.. One burger not made the way it was asked for.. so two meals spoiled.. But to top it off… I ask for five ranches… I also ordered an eight piece chicken tenders meal… now I don’t know about you …but I work hard for my money …and I want my family to be happy.. so when I ordered the five branches they charged me $.25 a ranch… I get that the economy is outrageous right now.. but you don’t even let your customers know that you are charging for a dip for an order that cost $73?? That’s like pickpocketing me… If your people who take orders cannot say…oh we apologize… but we are now charging for ranch… I would’ve never got ranch.. I wouldve made my own!! So yeah … a little bit upset… I won’t be coming back there….you made me realize that I could go to the store and buy a big bag of cod and cook it myself for a lot less money. You should treat your loyal customers a little bit better than that instead of nickel and diming them.. or giving them two dinners that are garbage .. and not edible… but I could still be a good person and say thank you for all the good food you did sell me all these years… thank you for the valuable lesson I was taught.. I will start putting my money elsewhere when it comes to food and it’s being prepared properly.. hate to say goodbye Culvers.. but.. is...
