Hooters — Restaurant in Siesta Key

So, the teenagers decided they wanted to Hooters to celebrate their good report cards. The food is usually pretty decent so the family went to dinner Sunday night. So disappointing. The service was abysmal. Attitude of the manager was worse. Despite the fact that the football crowd was long-since gone for the evening and it was pretty slow, we rarely saw our waitress. Although another server had to take our drink order, our server was fairly prompt bringing a pitcher of beer and initial drinks. However, she forgot the Dr. Pepper for one of us, and it was twenty minutes (and a trip inside for me to get assistance from another server), before he ever got a drink.. Similar situation with a margarita. The kids' water was empty and no refills were to be had. When the food came, it was largely wrong. All the fries were cold. My fish sandwich, although pretty tasty and fresh fish, had no bun. (This was "remedied" by bringing me a cold bun, in a bowl). We sent back some sliders because they had mustard and ketchup when the youngest had asked for only cheese, but instead of remaking them they chucked the same patties back on the grill and brought them back as hard as hockey pucks. I could go on, but sadly I know it won't matter. We did ask to speak to the manager, Byron, but he was cold and pretty dismissive. Although he did give us a card for complimentary sliders on the next visit, (we didn't ask for any comp or discounts, we just wanted him to know), he certainly did nothing show a sincere apology or to encourage us to come back. The final insult came after we had paid the bill and I went to the restroom. While in the stall I heard our waitress say to another "Oh my God, that one table (presumably meaning us) complained about EVERYTHING!" Seriously? We didn't complain about HALF the things that were wrong with that whole experience. I passed Byron on the way out, and as an afterthought I stopped to share the bathroom interchange with him. I genuinely thought he might like to know about it. No, not so much. While he said he would speak with her, he was clearly indifferent. Today was by far the worst experience i have had here. We have eaten here upwards of four times a week some weeks and I was overwhelmingly disappointed today. It was very busy so service was a little slower than usual which was fine we placed our drink order received our drinks and then we ordered. My husband ordered shrimp a salad and the sliders my son ordered mac and cheese and fruit and I ordered the boneless wing lunch special. MY Sons food came CORRECTLY (KIDS MEAL) My husband received his shrimp amd sliders, no salad or the side of lettuce and tomatoes he asked.for for the sliders, i recieved nothi g. The server walked away with an additional hand full of food that appeared to be mine (a salad, a side of lettuce and tomatoes and boneless wings) and served it to the next table. When our regular server came back I noted that I had not received my food and that some of my husband's food was missing. She apologized went back to the window to retrieve the food when apparently she realized it had been given to the wrong table. She took the food from their table wemt to the window grabbed their correct order, and delivered it then brought THE SAME PLATES (SALAD AND BONLESS WINGS BACK TO OUR TABLE!!!! I politely told her i believe they had eaten off the plates because there was 8 wings the special was 10 wings. She again apologize took the food back and supposedly had it remade but the wings came back with like 18 on the plate and the salad came back with the same amount of croutons. I did not ask to speak to the manager because at that point my husband had already finished eating so I just packed up the food to take it home to my pets. I did order another drink which took another 15 minutes to come out and at this point they weren't busy at all. The waitress did not offer anything but an apology no discount not to have the manager speak to us nothing. This place is a joke. As soon as we were seated the waitress that had our table had a horrible attitude ; she literally stood there until I asked her if she was waiting for our order on drinks and she’s said yes like why are you just standing there and not asking the question. We ordered the food and it took a very long time just for us to receive our food and once our food came there were a lot of mistakes made. The waitress argued with us about a kids meal that we ordered for my son that was on the actual menu which was the traditional wing meal and she said we only do boneless wings for kids meals ; like you work there you should know your menu items. My wings were not the flavor I expected ; my family member ordered wings half and half and didn’t get both flavors she received all one flavor. We then was told they would re make our sons food who is 8 years old and the order of wings I ordered and we waited and waited and my table of 8 all of them were done eating and me and my 8 year old son were still waiting that’s when we had to get the manager involved and tell her how absolutely ridiculous the service was and she went to the kitchen and made our food priority but honestly at that point I didn’t want it but she insisted on making it and gave us our food free of charge due to the inconvenience of it all. I’ve never b able n anywhere so disappointing. Horrible service , need new waitresses that have correct training and knows what’s on their menus. I will never be returning to this location anymore.
