Seeing as I'm awoken to the after effects of this restaurants food at 5am, do not expect a good review. 🤮 (most of us are feeling the belly aches right now) We went as a group of 11. I made sure to call ahead and ask if they would be able to take us seeing as we were a big group and consisted of 5kids AND it was around 9pm...maybe 845ish. They said yes they would. Before I really start, I want to say our server, wish I could remember her name, was exceptional! She was amazing with her customer service. Thank you. Now... the food, not great at all! We ordered two Margherita flat for the table, the tomato was soggy and there was way too much pesto on it.. tasted and looked like it was under the food warmer for a awhile before we got it. Mind you, our food came out in a normal amount of time for our group of 11. Take that how you want. My husband got tacos and beans and rice, he said the food was bland, no flavor at all. My 16yr old niece, got the Jack Daniel's boneless wings... I thought she was over reacting about the taste of the wings, but when I tried it, it had a strange taste to it. 🤢 Don't recommend that at all. My mom is not a picky person, but everything she ate from the appetizers, she did not enjoy, therefore, she did not order any entree. My pregnant sister ordered a side of Mac and cheese and the Margherita flat bread, we already covered it was soggy, but her Mac and cheese, idk how you can mess it up! It had no taste whatsoever. It was so bland like it was there just to fill you so you wouldn't be hungry anymore, not something to enjoy. My cousin had a chicken, pasta and bread deal kinda meal, I don't remember the name, but she said at least her pasta came out good, it was just a little bit oily. My other sister ordered wings and I believe she said her meal was good enough. Now onto the kids... I leave them last because they're kids and they're picky, BUT when you have kids you want to make sure to cater to them because they need to eat; otherwise there's more issues to deal with after. My younger niece had tater tots and some kids meal...she's usually picky so I won't comment on her meal, just that she didn't really eat. My two older daughters had the kids Mac and cheese, which is different from the side of Mac and cheese off the menu, it was super dry, like it was under the warmer for a period of time. They ate, because they were hungry, but they couldn't eat much because they did not enjoy their food. My youngest daughter ordered the kids hot dog, it came out looking good, but she took one bite and refused to eat anymore. She usually loves any kind of hot dog, but this time, she was so turned off by the taste, but I guess. (We ended up stopping on the way back to the hotel to get food for them) All in all, I do not recommend going here for the food, or atleast don't go the time we went, or maybe just do not order what we ordered. Take what you want from this review. Gekos pub and grill, you got us for that $100+ bill on some horrible food... but this is a one timer. Never again would I come back and thats sad, cuz their other reviews looked so...
Read moreOnly been once, so this is my experience today. I felt they added a drink when I didn't ask..cool I take it. When I leave to go to restroom they remove my cover over my beer and say he thought u left. Its a game on and I'm in the teams gear head to toe and everybody around me asking about the game but wasn't noticeable to the staff. Now because of my pigment in this country I pay attention to my service and seeing I was the only black male, I FEEL this may not be a friendly place. Funny when u call to speak to the manager who is clearly white male and he states u dont have to bring race into this...why if I'm just giving u my opinion u feel offended...as if I'm referring to u. Then want to buy me a beer, no sir I'm good. And also if there is a disconnect with a customer who has asked to speak to the manager and I call back, why do I have to spoke to as a child..stating, u hung up and he came u gonna hold on this time or what. Very professional group on 3/4/23. Everyone is entitled to a bad night but this felt like 1943. What goes around comes around and I don't like doing this. Because I don't exchange negative energy but I was irritated and mature enough to not come back inside. 1st impression is the lasting impression and many never get a 2nd chance. Never again at any...
Read moreWe traveled an hour and a half to meet my son here. He traveled an hour and a half to meet us. This was at Midway point. Before we left we checked the web to see if this was a dog friendly place and it indicated that it was. When we arrived they did not allow the dog on the patio. At the time, it was about 7:30 in the evening and it was not crowded, they're at least three other dogs on the patio. One was in a stroller. The dogs that were on the patio were all tiny dogs like the dog. My son has, less than 10 lb. Not only would the manager or not allow the dog on the patio despite the presence of other dogs, but there was a table near the front door that was set up sort of just to put your bags down and he would not let us do take out and eat it there either. The manager indicated the other dogs were service dogs, but the patrons laughed at that. When we asked them. My son had to do his meal as take out and then drive home. We ate quickly and left. The wait staff was absolutely wonderful but we will not be back again. If the website says that dogs are welcome and it is a chain, it would seem that if a particular site did not allow dogs that should be mentioned. It would not have been so bad if we...
