Based on our experience: expect a long wait, make sure you get your silverware and drinks immediately upon seating. I wouldn't suggest you take kids, especially young children since many things are forgotten for the kids and wait at table is long.
My experience on a weekend at 1pm, no crowded, a third of capacity or less:
It took a few minutes to seat us. That was a odd since the restaurant was only a third full. They said they had to clean a table for us. That seemed strange. Over a half of the tables were empty with settings.
Then we were seated at a table with no setting, no utensils to eat with. Then the lady who sat us took and brought us our drinks. Unfortunately one of the kids didn't get a straw. She told us the waiter would be over soon before she left so we thought we could wait. Well, we did wait! Over 30 minutes later the waiter comes after we asked a couple waitresses for service.
Then the waiter comes, takes our order and then tells us "expect to wait awhile for your meal since we only have two cooks".
An hour later, we got our meals. Waiter never brought silverware, no refills on drinks. Our kids were wonderful, but the service was awful!!!! We had to ask for everything and a couple times to get anything.
We had to ask for: A waiter/waitress For our order to be taken For an additional straw For silverware For napkins And then for the COMPLETE meal (we were give the full meals we were order.
Hopefully this was a bad day. However, I won't risk it happening twice.

Read moreUnfortunately I had a very bad experience the last time I went there. My waiter (which was a male & I think his name was Dan) was very rude. When I was ordering my man asked about an item on the menu & instead of answering politely, the guy said "That's why we have a menu." It was So disrespectful & rude. That's literally your job as a waiter to know wat's on your menu. Anyways even though we got treated like that right away, we still hung around hoping that the experience would turn around. When our order finally arrived it was wrong & when we tried to bring up the issue & hopefully have it fixed. Instead the guy decided to argue about why I'm wrong & it was my fault that our order was made wrong. I've been to Perkins many times & I'm telling u, I've never had an experience like this in my life. & Cuz the experience was so miserable I will never go back. We literally ended up walking out, offered to pay for our drinks so we could just leave. Instead of fixing the problem he argued with us & made both of us feel so uncomfortable. When all he had to do to fix it was have the cooks throw sausage & bacon on the grill & to let us know that It'll be out shortly. But he didn't want to fix the problem. I called and the lady who made the mistake was straight up honest and realized her mistake after I had called and asked “it was supposed to be the whole pie for $20… right?” Respect to her for accountability.
I called the store and because it was door dash, they didn’t know what to do, they talked on the side trying to figure out what to do. Of course one option was go down town and grab it, but I had just gotten off my over night shift and got home, there was a reason I had it delivered, I sadly had to decline that, they pondered more on the side (the team member and current shift lead) “I’ll write down your information and I’ll have my manager call you around 7:10 since she comes in at 7.” Mind you I’m exhausted, so I said “okay. I’ll be up.” And I was until I passed out at 9AM. I woke up and still hadn’t received call. Mind you I called around 6am. Check the door dash screenshot for the time. The manager should’ve called and done her job and at least called even IF there wasn’t anything she could do. It’s been three days and I’ve attempted to call since. I will never order from here again. Respect to the lady who picked up my phone call when I originally called and tried her best to make up for her mistake. She should get a raise and promotion....
