I am grateful for Jane @ The Wooden Duck. As cliche as the following statement may seem, itās completely true. Because of Jane & her phenomenal customer care, she prevented me from having a mini breakdown. I had placed an order (Nov 29) thru a diff site (Mackenzie-Childs) for a Patience Brewster ornament, which would complete my 12 piece set. 3 weeks later, I receive a vm informing me that they were sorry but that particular ornament was not only out of stock but would no longer be available. Huh? It was in stock when I placed the order... now, itās not? I called, was again met with apologies but, it is what it is. Yes, thereās always the auction site... but now that the ornament was āextinctā, I was fairly sure itād cost more than the $20 it originally was. (If money wasnāt an object, Iād have purchased the complete set YEARS ago) Jane not only calmed me, she validated my feelings of being put off by M-C. In addition, she put the ornament in the mail that day. Iām an uber satisfied customer. Iām planning to visit The Wooden Duck when I go to PA. BTW:Iām not naive, I know what happened to my ornament- someone placed an order for all 12- $20 vs $240... which order will a company fill? ...

In fact, one of its ears was broken off and glued back on, but wrapped and packaged and sold as new. Two calls were not returned, but an email was returned from Alisha saying she would mail me a new figure with a return label for the damaged product. That would have been great! However, this never happened. Instead, I received notice of a refund for $18.60 for "damage". This small refund does nothing to replace the broken piece. While I'm keeping these because I have an order due to ship by tomorrow, I think it's only fair to advise that I received what were very obviously a previously owned product. Disclosing this and discounting the price would have been perfectly acceptable, I would have probably even purchased additional sets, but attempting to pass them off as a new item is not cool.
