De One Roti Shop — Restaurant in Snellville

We’ve been wanting to try De One Roti since we moved to the area a year ago. We finally had it for dinner a couple of weeks ago; it was truly worth the wait. We arrived just before closing but we were in luck. My husband ordered salt fish roti with spinach, channa and aloo. I ordered oxtail roti with the same sides. We also bought a bottle pineapple ginger beer. We chatted with the ladies while they fixed our plates. We told them it was our first time at De One Roti. They gave us some helpful suggestions regarding what to get the next time we come. As we were about drive off one of the ladies ran out to bring us our ginger beer which we’d left on the counter. (great customer service!). EVERYTHING we ordered was good. My favorite was the oxtails. I typically don’t order oxtails because so often the gravy tastes a bit sweet. I prefer oxtails to be all savory. These were absolutely perfect. I will definitely be getting them again soon. Another surprise was the spinach. I’ve always thought of spinach as super healthy but kind of basic tasting; not these. I’m still trying to figure out how they were seasoned. They were so good with just a little kick! First time calling to order roti and a few other edibles from this restaurant and I was told, I cannot order roti skin. If I want I can place the order this week and pick it up next week. I have never heard this in my life before. Sooo, if I'm having a gathering in the afternoon apparently I have to place my order last week and pick it up this coming week?. You don't do business that way. I come from roti shop family in new york, you don't do business like that. You don't turn away customers. But guess what?? I'm going to open a roti shop right in snellville and give you guys competition. YOU DONT EVER TURN AWAY CUSTOMERS. I was so super happy to finally see a Trinidadian restaurant open in Snellville. Went in with high expectations and was so disappointed! ☹ The food is horrible.....🤢 However I do go there daily for roti because it's so delish! I called today to order my usual roti skin. Spoke to a man who told me I can only get a roti skin if I purchase a meal and that they only serve roti alone on Tuesdays, Wednesday's and Thursdays. Stupidest thing I ever heard in my life!!! I then told him that, that wasn't true because I get one almost every day and I have gotten one the last four Friday's. He then said it's a new policy! Well buddy you just lost a loyal customer because if I can get it on the days that I would like them I'll find something and somewhere else to go! It would be one thing if they didn't make it at all on those days. But to have it and not sell it alone to someone who does not like your food to me is just NOT very customer...
