I usually go to this location whenever I’m out in Snellville. Since I’m originally from Texas, Whataburger is a great reminder of home. Normally, I have a great experience with both my food and service. However, when I visited the drive through at this location on Friday, January 3rd at approximately 2:20pm this was not the case. I ordered a #2 with on onions and a small strawberry shake for the drink like I do every time that I go to Whataburger. The Hispanic male that took my order, was either struggling or not paying attention, but it seemed like he got my order correct as he repeated it back to me. When he brought it out to my car, the shake was a medium shake and the total was about $3 more than usual. Gabe him my card for payment and when I looked inside the bag there were no French fries. When he came back to give me my card, I told him about the lack of fries. He then goes inside, then comes back out and tries to tell me that I didn’t order any fries and that I just ordered a double meat hamburger and a shake. This was a total lie. I ordered a number two which is a double meat hamburger combo which comes with fries. I substituted the drink for a small strawberry shake. Not the medium shake that was brought out to me. When I reminded him of this, he basically told me that I was lying and that I only ordered a hamburger and shake. I have never done this at Whataburger and would never do this because it makes no sense economically because it costs more money to do it this way and you don’t get any French fries. I had my 2 year old daughter with me and the fries were supposed to be for her. When I protested, the manager came out and told me that if I wanted fries I would have to pay $3.00. They didn’t take any responsibility for the mistake that they made. He even said “we all have headsets on and heard your order”. Again accusing me of lying like it’s totally impossible that they made the mistake. All of this over some fries. Im totally offended and they will never get my business again. I will also tell everyone that I know to never go to that location. It’s not about the $3.00. I make plenty of money and that is nothing to me. It’s the principle. I’m not a dishonest person and I don’t appreciate someone accusing me of being one. This is not how you treat your customers, especially one that was very...
Read moreI just moved to Georgia and was looking forward to Whataburger because they don't have them in Miami. So I go to this Whataburger on scenic highway in Snellville Georgia and they can't seem to get a single order right. I ordered a jalapeno cheeseburger with extra jalapenos, which I paid for and extra onions. Where do I get? No jalapenos AND a sploch of onions on a jalapeno burger. So I went back with the receipt and explained to the manager that the order had been done wrong again. He said there was nothing wrong with the burger and that that was the bite watered and that that little spot of onions was the extra onions. After cornering him into correcting his stance, he finally agreed to make up for the order that was done wrong. Satisfied, I reordered and left.
I was staying at a hotel 20 minutes away and low and behold when I get to the hoteI I find that that other order is wrong yet again. So at 5:30 in the morning, I had to drive all the way back 20 minutes to the Whataburger where the manager actually said No, there's nothing wrong with the burger even though the extra onions and the extra opinions were completely absent. Then upon asking about reolacing my quickly-wilting fries and onion rings, the m girl that was working there had the nerve to tell me that the onion rings and fries that I had ordered with the food we're fresh when they were given to me and therefore could not be replaced. I asked her how they can possibly still be fresh when I had to drive twenty minutes from the hotel to correct the order and then twenty minutes back. Finally the manager did the right thing and corrected the order. I need someone to explain why it is so difficult for people to develop even a shred of integrity and pride in what they do. If a customer comes in and chooses to spend their money in a particular establishment they should get what they paid for and not an attitude that they did...
Read moreSo it has been a while, maybe a month since Whataburger opened. The dining room is now open, I opted for the drive-through since I was ready to get home after running errands. The drive-through was two lanes, but they were still backed up quite a bit. It took about 20 to 30 minutes to order and get food. I understand that this is a new spot, so it was very busy. The order was right, and it all looked good. It took about 10 mins or so to get home and a few more minutes after getting home before we were able to eat. My wife was taken aback by how big her single was. She ended up cutting it in half and gave the other half to our daughter. I got a double with cheese and some fries. Now, by the time I started eating, things had cooled down and were at room temp. This has been on me since I opted to bring it home to eat it. The plus side is when things are at room temp, it is easier to taste everything. The thing that really stood out to me was the flavor for the beef. It was savory with a good bit of umami. The bread to meat ratio was nice. The bun was just enough to hold it all together. The iceberg lettuce was chopped and had a good texture where the tomato just kind of melted into the sandwich and provided a juicy bit of acid. The cheese was well worth the $.60 up charge. It had a great sharpness and amazing cheese flavor. The fries were good, even being at room temperature. I did need to add a bit of extra salt. Whataburger Fancy Ketchup and Spicy Ketchup were worth the hype. I actually compared it to the Heinz that I had at home, and Whataburger easily beat it, in my opinion. Heinz is more sweet compared to the deep tomato flavor in Whataburger's ketchup. At first, I was a bit let down by the Spicy option. It didn't really taste any different than the fancy version. But it does build as...
