Greeted quickly, open sitting at the time we came. Menus are at the table. Your typical diner experience. I got Bacon Cheeseburger and a side of onions rings, both were the top of ones I’ve ever had. My husband got the Donna burger(grilled onion, bacon, lettuce and tomato), he rates it 5/5. Large portion of sides. The regular fries were very good, reminded me of fair fries.

Our go to spot in bed a week! Huge portions so we always share. Food has always been amazing and correct. Veggies are packed in to a perfectly cooked omelette. Service is a little rough sometimes. It’s not easy work so I get it. See you next week!

Perfect, local all-American diner with a very local feel. Huge portions, and I mean *huge*. Don't come here unless you're hungry. Spotless clean bathrooms.

I ordered a cup of coffee that never materialized but come ticket-time it wasn't there, and it was actually okay. That did not distract from the absolutely phenomenal menu that had everything I always complain about not being offered anymore in most all restaurants...my favorites!

My friend got something like eggs over 2 English muffins or something smothered with zesty, sausage gravy...my favorite, and a family of crisply-fried and delicious hash browns...they way there are supposed to be. The gentleman at the next table had a pile of fries so huge if you wove them together, I'm certain you could make a sombrero! And he ate them all! I wanted to give him an award but, well, I'm shy. The young couple behind him devoured 1/2-inch thick hotcakes, an enormous portion of eggs, and a huge steak and some monster sausage links.

Oh! What'd I have? Well, the monster Monte Cristo sandwich with about 50 weighted, zesty, impeccably delicious onion rings. I was in food heaven. And...I got a long dill spear! I asked for both BBQ and honey mustard and won! It was two meals for me! The very bestest of the best.

I am a Kitchen King, know my foods and beverages, and was genuinely impressed with everything I had, tasted, saw, and read. They have the best menu I've seen in ages!

The place was spotlessly clean, service was smooth and attentive, and the delightfully sweet waitress is the best! The decor was perfect for what the place was, save for the white little trucks with fake flowers -- someone's fancy but totally okay regardless and fit right in anyway. There's plenty to look at if your date sucks, it's loaded with memorabilia, signs, humor, all nifty-neaty in their own special way. Oh...the prices? Outstanding! Especially considering everything seems to be very large portions, the way it should be, the way I live for it to be.

This place is a treasure and not to be missed. It's the kind of place I wish were directly across the street from me...though I'd be there every day and go from average man to, well, having to wear all elastic-waisted shorts. Maybe some sunglasses, too, as I ran across the street everyday, twice. It'd be thrice but, sorry, dear eaters, no din-din here!

If you see me, don't judge me if I have a table full of food...just for me! But...

Jake's is a good ol' Americana cafe. It oddly sits on the outskirts of town (easier for truckers to park?) and the signs for it look like they are from the 60s. Or 70s. Or 80s. Worn, faded, beat up and frankly, like that cafe in George, it makes you wonder what this place is really like. In short, don't let the signs fool you! The place is totally open for business!

The food is, as everyone else says, Americana. Chicken strips? Check. Steaks? Check. Better than Dennys? Of course it is! What's nice is this place is open a bit later (ie; better hours) than some of the other diners in the area. We had ventured out for a dessert date and ended up going home with their homemade donuts, cinnamon rolls and a couple of dinner dishes.

The most recent venture there (which makes it the 3rd time in a short period of time since finding it), the food was every bit as good as experiences 1 & 2!

I'll get to the point here. On Trip 2 (the dessert date), I wanted to take some stuff home. Most of what I was after was sold out. I don't quite remember what it was, but one was the special (some sort of prime rib strips and etc) and beef stew (which I had the Trip 1 and was surprisingly good. I mean, it's stew, right?). So, visit the place just before dinner hours or maybe during the dinner rush else food items will be done for the day.

They also serve breakfast all day. That's always a plus.

The portion size is probably typical. However, as pictured, my order of onion rings was definitely plentiful! That's the amount of onion rings a tub should have!

Btw, the dessert date, we got something like 4-5 pieces of pie. Basically sampling. And Trip1, full pies had come home. I even got ice cream with mine. Staff was nice. Pricing, based on what is given online, nothing is over $20? That's a positive thing too.

Definitely a place to stop at for a sit-down meal. Be it on the road or just somewhere to go for dinner.

*I'd add photos but apparently I have to do it through google photos. sorry. I'm sure there are plenty of other...

Here's the thing - it's a fun place to try out BECAUSE it's super chaotic. I honestly think that adds to the charm. The waitresses are constantly scrambling to seat everyone/take orders/take checks that it's insane. Customers are practically stacked on top of each other with lines of people waiting to be seated by either entrance. The table gets one menu - and that's because it's already there with the ketchup and salt. That being said, it only took us about 15 minutes to be seated on a Saturday.

If you're looking to sit and catch up with someone you haven't seen for a while, this is NOT the place. My husband and I cleared out plates as fast as we could given how I described it above. The food? Pretty okay. Definitely not the best I've had, but not the worst. I got the french toast combo and the best part about it was the french toast. The scrambled eggs didn't really taste like anything, and the sausage links made me feel a bit nauseous. The french toast, though, were like two perfect little cakes.

My husband got the chicken fried steak, and while he liked it, it wasn't anything to write home about. Portion sizes were.... also average! I imagined I'd get this huge plate given how other reviews described it, but it wasn't crazy. Just... two slices of average toast, a lump of eggs, and two stout sausage. Filled me up, but again- nothing spectacular.

All in all, I'm glad we visited, but I don't really get the raving reviews. Unless the City of Snohomish has some horrible breakfast places, which I'd then understand why this is the "best"...
